It's happenning. While definitely not the same mass event it used to be, it's still the window for videogame devs to show off what's to come.

Sony's and Nintendo's conferences to come this morning.

I swear I didnt add that banana.

The new Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer was fantastic...despite not showing any gameplay, its definitely one thing I'm looking forward to the most, given that MGS 2 is on my top 5 fav. games list.

It looks like "Mario Galaxy" and "Smash Brothers" have a solid release date!! And I'll be so excited for "Mario Kart"!!!!!

If only they'd hurry up with the new touchscreen IPOD!!

Sorry I didnt post the info on the other conferences... I've felt like crap today. But you prolly know where to find em anyway.

I have to say, I'm dissappointed at the info provided this year at E3. I know they cut the show down and all, but I remember feeling way more excited last year with the info released. Microsoft really let everyone down. The biggest thing they announced was the Halo 3 Edition 360, which is a lame announcement if you ask me. Sony yet again offered nothing of any major interest to me. Nintendo's announcementd weren't all that mind blowing either, and I'm pissed that nothing has been mentioned or shown about Animal Crossing Wii.
I know there whole new thing is the Wii Fit pad, but my fat ass isn't interested in that :P

I wouldn't go that far, but Yes, IGN is annoying on many many counts.
And the public couldn't get into E3 anyway. You had to have some connection to the industry to get into E3. There are a shit ton of people in the industry, so thats why E3 used to get so packed.

The new format will kill E3. Having to drive to multiple locations to check stuff out is a big mistake.

Not as good as last year, but that's expected when Ninty and Sony still had their consoles to release. Phantom Hourglass and Assassin's Creed keep getting better and better.

Looks like MetaKnight's got it covered - I was about to drop Engadget's coverage. They definitely made it out to be a major disappointment, going so far as posting a picture of a guy snoozing on a couch.

I didn't even pay attention to E3 this year because honestly it seems that for the first time in years the whole video gaming industry is stuck in a rut. Sony and Microsoft's games are overpriced. Sony's PS3 is certainly proving to be no bargain as all their exclusive games are going right over to Microsoft's less expensive console. The Wii is unique with its motion sensing controller, but overall I see it as Nintendo's little gimmick to bridge the gap between the Wii's release date and the next Mario game. Like we haven't seen that before.

For the first time in a long time I can say that video games have become rather boring.

That seems to the general feeling this year. Quite a few people in the industry are disappointed with the way things are currently going. Only a few games seemed to impress at E3 this year.
