Did you feel it in the Newy York or Ohio?

At about 11pm...I had turned off the light for the night and it was like having a helicopter hovering about 10 feet above the house...or so we thought...even though this has never happened
and helicopters wouldn't likely shake the structure or the bed.

3.7 or 4.1 centred north east of Toronto. In an area not usually known for quakes.

So batten the hatches folks...this could be a warning sign that Jellystone is about to rupture!

A few years ago, we had one that was vertical as well as horizontal movement while I was working in the office and you could really feel the weird sensation.

Like when I was living in Rome in 1980.

When is the last quake you have felt?

did you mean Yellowstone or Jellystone boo-boo?

I didn't feel it in Birmingham either!

The last (and only) earthquake I was aware of was about 20 years ago. My bedside lamp at the time had a loose shade and I woke up when I heard it rattling. It only lasted a few seconds. I thought nothing of it, rolled over and went back to sleep. The next morning there was a news report about an earthquake which had been strong enough to bring down a chimney pot somewhere.

When I mentioned the helicopter hovering over our house...I looked up sound during earthquakes.

This is the first time that I have been aware of this phenomenon.
