This guy is of Iranian (Persian) decent, he came to Norway when he was 1 year old. He used to be a model, and he even worked for MTV Norway for a few years. Now he competes in ESC for Norway with his song Stay.

I think he's so hot! He's kinda like a mix of Eric Saade and Adam Lambert :p What do you guys think?

Re: Tooji from Eurovision Song Contest

Seriously.. not even one reply? Wow.. I'm disappointed, but oh well :(

Re: Tooji from Eurovision Song Contest

Not many people talk about Eurovision Song Contest much, it's too early anyways. I'm from Australia, where ESC is very popular.

But yes, Tooji is very hawt and his song 'Stay' is addictive.

That's true, but people can still enjoy a good looking man, right? They don't even have to watch ESC :p

But thanks for your reply! :D I'm glad you like him (and the song too!) :D

Re: Tooji from Eurovision Song Contest

He's pretty good looking. And his song is, shall we say, the least of ESC evils :p.

Re: Tooji from Eurovision Song Contest

Eurovision is not that popular here which is why no one responded but over their its a huge deal bigger than american idol an yes that guy is hot super hot!

Re: Tooji from Eurovision Song Contest

I'd have his babies ..|

Re: Tooji from Eurovision Song Contest

I approve. I also love Eurovision. I can't wait to watch it this year!

Re: Tooji from Eurovision Song Contest

I actually thought about making a "hot guys of eurovision thread", and I actually started on one.. but then I never finished it and I guess I just forgot about it..

But yeah.. I like Tooji, he's hot and nice and smart. And his song is really good and catchy too! I like our entry a lot this year :)

No threads on Eurovision Song Contest this year? Some highlights....

Americans, you don't know what you're missing with this show! So much fun! (!)

Take it away, Russian grannies! (!w!)

(they get into the dance mood about a minute in) \:/

Moving on....

My personal favourite one this year....

*cough*

....and my 12 points goes tooooooo....

*pauses for suspense*

....

Turkey

I love these guys!

(you've probably guessed by now I prefer the funniest and silliest songs the best)

Anyway....

The voting seems to take FOREVER these days (42 countries)

And the declared winner of Eurovision 2012 on the night was....

Sweden

....with their 'dancefloor club hit' (not a bad song at all, it was in my top 5)

Stockholm next year then. ..|

Re: No threads on Eurovision Song Contest this year? Some highlights....

Is this where Loreen was from?

She gave us classic dance floor slayadge like this:

and this

When someone tops those, let me know. Kay, sis?

Re: No threads on Eurovision Song Contest this year? Some highlights....

I hate the vote rulings, it's so stupid. Every years, Greece will give 12 points to Cyprus and Cyprus will give 12 points to Greece. It's so geopolitical, nothing to do with the songs :(

But I watched every years, it's so campy, I love the Eurovision Song Contest :)

PS : the clip from the French song

Re: No threads on Eurovision Song Contest this year? Some highlights....

I like Eurovision to see non-english speaking people singing in hilariously pronounced English.

Saying that, I liked Denmark only because I liked the singer and her silly outfit.

Russia as usual provided randomness.

PS : the clip from the French song

France got my 'hottest guys of the night' vote for the shirtless gymnasts on stage during the song.

I'll mention the other three I liked....

If judging on vocal talent and quality then I'd give it to....

Germany

Sweet guy. :luv:

And back to silliness and catchiness, I also really liked....

Moldova

and....

Greece

Re: No threads on Eurovision Song Contest this year? Some highlights....

Eurovision just gives me second-hand embarrassment for Europe.

I can only assume that these acts represent the best music the entire continent is capable of producing.

I think it is mainly just a bit of fun for everyone, where everyone can be camp and let their silly side go. Saying that, I think maybe some of the places like Moldova take it serious and end up producing garbage like that haha.

edit: sorry I meant Montenegro with this crap.

Re: No threads on Eurovision Song Contest this year? Some highlights....

It's basically a guilty pleasure of mine. So bad it's good.

I watched it on the official website and the tweets next to the vid are just as funny as the contest itself. You Brits (tweeters and Graham Norton) are such deadpan snarkers. :D (and Terry Wogan, but he's Irish I believe)

Re: No threads on Eurovision Song Contest this year? Some highlights....

I also laughed at Israel, but found it catchy.

I think the problem is that pop music —and indeed ALL music—has to be heard a couple of times to be appreciated. Unfortunately there's only one chance to be appreciated in the crazy Euro contest. And they have to rely on razzle-dazzle to stand out from all the others. :(

Re: No threads on Eurovision Song Contest this year? Some highlights....

What? Did I miss it again? My practicing for the Olympics and the Euro football thing must be paying dividends. ;)

Re: No threads on Eurovision Song Contest this year? Some highlights....

there is an eurovision thread and also a group.

i LOVED the russian grannies .. they kinda made a parody out of this cheesy music contest. didn't like turkye at all, loved the guy from lithuania (song mediocre) and georgia (song sucked). sweden was okay and probably the obvious gay vote. albania .. what the heck? i don't get why this got so many points .. my personal favourite was malta (the guy with the funny feet dance).
