I've tried many times to tell people what goes on at a photoshoot and in post to make the images that end up in an ad. This gives you an idea of why nobody will ever look like the picture in the magazine.

I love it....It's so true....I think Cindy Crawford said once that even she doesn't look like the images the magazines show...meaning all the make up then all the editing and tweaking that they do before they're published....​

There is a great story Cindy told. She went to a store to pick up some things not wearing makeup and her hair pulled back. She handed over her credit card and the clerk mentioned there was a model with her name. She said "Yeah, I'm that model" and she just looked at her like "Oh, sure you are honey".

The original ad (which I think is great) has spawned a number of spoof. I find this one to be the funniest thing I've seen. Now I know how those girls get ready to get on stage.

I certainly agree that PhotoShop is the greatest program ever!!! I love it!!!

Other than that, I have to say that certain people are just so damn gorgeous. I was in New York during the fashion week in September, and I saw so many female supermodels. And...............

GOD, THEY ARE SO GORGEOUS THAT THEY'LL MAKE A GAY MAN STRAIGHT.........

Anyway, the point is, some people are just perfect. And those girls are quite nice too. I've met Anja Rubik, a Polish model, whom in my opinion is the most beautiful blonde ever, not to mention beautiful voice and handwriting. She signed her composite (the photocard from their agency, that every model carries with them to castings) for me!!! Another model, Valentina Zaliaeva (Russian, the Ralph Lauren model for 3 years already) is simply perfect also.

By the way, there is this boy who works at the GAP on 5th Ave and 17th Street in Manhattan, who is perfect...perfect rosy skin, perfect eyebrows, perfectly shaped jawlines, perfect curly lips, perfect chestnut hair............. You should come to the GAP just to check him out, the only imperfection is that he is a baby, I mean it by age (18 ) and height (short), but it'a all good.

We have a friend who is a make-up artist as well as a great hair dresser and he invited us to go with him to a job where he was working on the girls/boys who were doing a modeling job at Neiman Marcus here in Las Vegas....

You would NOT believe how he converted the "Ugly Ducklings" into Swans!

I know before the job began he was working his ass off doing make-up and at the end doing some hair as well and man, the conversions were remarkable!

I know that glamour shots are nothing of the original person that you think you see...
