ex friend keeps looking in my direction

Is he an ex friend for good reason? ...and by looking your way..does it mean he wants to reignite the friendship? Was he a friend with benefits?

not really a 'good' reason - he is immature and i couldn't handle that so we stopped talking. not a fwb but we were pretty close for a few months.
i dont know if he wants to be friends but practically any time he sees me he looks in my direction.

Sounds like maybe he might miss you and is checking to see if you are approachable? Do you feel contempt or anger from him or is it more of an open or friendly vibe when he stares at you?

i know i angered him when i kicked him out. but that was almost a year ago and he is still 'not over it'? i think his feelings of contempt come from the fact that hes not out and in denial and knows that im gay.

Talk to him. Ask him what's up. Perhaps he's changed. If he has, super. If not, let him know (politely) that you've moved on.

Approach him and say hi. See if he's willing to talk, although I'm not sure where you keep seeing him that allows him to stare at you. A gay bar?

Of course I would have to be in your shoes to fully appreciate the situation but from what you said....I know sometimes when people are in denial or for some reason do not accept themselves they can sometimes externalize it and drain all of your energy. They might not even mean to do so but it doesn't make it better.

I don't know if it is or not but if that is the case...maybe keep a friendly distance. There was a reason you moved along.
