I'm looking to purchase an external hard drive, and my budget is $50. I'm looking to store at least 50GB immediately after purchase, and would like to know my options. What items are available to a person with my budget?

I'd save up about $40 more (or less) and get a 1 TB external. You can never have too much space to store data.

Western Digital are the best. I have a 1TB that I've been using for several years now. I agree save up a little more and you can get a WD for like $70 or 80. Also have a really old gray external that is a WD and its been dropped before and still working.

I know at Best Buy it has 2TB harddrives for $120. Sure Amazon is even cheaper.

My budget is $50. I don't have the money for anything pricier, and don't know if i'll be able to save for that.

I opted to use Backblaze for all my backups... backs up on its own and it's like $4 a month or something? I forget
