I have Family Feud Canada playing in the background and they said "do you have any family traditions?". I'll add that this could also mean "do you have family traditions with your gay family?"

The only family tradition my family had was having Christmas over at my one sisters home. Her husband made a 'killer' Christmas dinner.

Aside from that, I can't think of any

Have hubby's sisters and brother and spouses for a Canadian Thanksgiving turkey this weekend. Become a tradition, covid excluded, where we all feel loved and will laugh a lot.

Our family(s) have always got together on Thanksgiving and Christmas for a big meal. For the most part no alcohol was involved. Oh, there would be a "in-law" every now and then who brought some beer for himself (because he was the only one who drank). As my siblings grew their family, and they had kids, and the kids had kids, not everyone was able to get together for both holidays. Now that I'm part of the next-to-oldest generation, I lucky if I get together with family on one of the holidays. Some years I do travel to a neighboring State about 5 hours away for one of the holidays.

I'm not really compaining too hard about the situation. I'm pretty much a loner in the old age. Everybody in the families have always got along. No fighting or arguing has ever happened. We may not agree with some of the family's life choices but we don't let it show to the group.

It seems to be becoming a tradition that the girls get married and breed and the boys either get married but have no children or don't get married at all.

We always have a family Christmas party on Christmas eve, and then shoot fireworks which upset the Neighbours.
