Re: Anyone here like Guns 'n' Roses?

Of course I like Guns N' Roses. They WERE one of the bast bands ever at the same level as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones or Queen just to name a few. I can't select only one song. I like "November Rain" but I like more their "nasty" side.

I know other jub members that also love Guns N' Roses. Crashy... your turn. Tell us how it is that you like "Better"... ;)

Re: Anyone here like Guns 'n' Roses?

I've seen GnR in their current incarnation, and I've got a t-shirt, too, but I don't parallel my best mate. Nobody can compete with him. He adores everything related to the band:

  • He spent £500 on a shirt signed by the band.
  • He's met Gilby Clarke and Steven Adler, and had a personal email from Richard Fortus.
  • He has a guitar styled on the Slash's Snakepit album cover for It's Five O'Clock Somewhere.
  • He saw GnR twice on the same tour - he was gonna see them three times, but he literally had ran out of money.
  • He's got the original edition of AFD, which was banned quite early to be replaced with the skulls on a cross logo.
  • He has a shirt from their 1987 tour - before he was born.
  • He has all five of the shirts released for last year's tour merch - at £20 each.
He really is mental.

Re: Anyone here like Guns 'n' Roses?

Oldschool G&R produced some classic songs, but my god how Axl Rose fell off the deep end. It's crazy to know what a killer voice he used to have and then hear him perform songs like November Rain today...his voice is as gone as Britney's virginity.

Jungle baby:band:

Great choice. Axl Rose was born in my old hometown of Lafayette, Indiana and graduated from the same high school I did. My dad and his brother went to school with him, but not sure they remember him from those days. I have a story about Axl where he went to the Frozen Custard out at the park out there and tried to cut in line. This was when he was with GNR and was well known. When he cut in line, he gave the old lady, who worked there from the 1940s or 1950s until her death a few years ago, a fit about wanting his ice cream, and he said, "do you know who I am?", and she said, calling him by his real name, "yes, William, I know who you are, now back to the end of the line". She didn't take crap from anyone, even a rock star. Props to her. She also became a living legend in Lafayette for several decades.

That's freakin awesome....he's such a douche. 1st time I saw them live, he showed up @ 12:45am!!!!

I didn't get home til like 7am.....great show though

Yeah he is, was then and still is now. Only good thing about him is his late 80s-early 90s heyday with GNR. He is kinda late getting to the stage. I'd never wait on such an arrogant man.

He's a prick.. Saw them once with Skid Row and once with Metallica and he made us wait for-fuckin-ever!!! The Skid Row show was a 10 hour drive home too. That part sucked, but overall it was a cool experience. Favorite song? Id have to go with Don't Damn Me followed by Novermber Rain.
