BTW, that’s the New Haven band Miracle Legion (minus its guitar player, Mr Ray) with singer/songwriter Mark Mulcahy – performing, and credited in the show, as Polaris – featured in several of that very great show’s most meaningful and memorable episodes (‘A Hard Day’s Pete,’ in particular; look it up!).

I – Baltimore boy that I am – especially liked it because of another episode about Johnny U and the Universe (‘Space, Geeks, and the Universe’) that featured Baltimore Colt’s legend Art Donovan. Watch it, and tell me you also don’t come away from it with a more profound appreciation than you ever before thought possible for the song ‘Love Rollercoaster’ by The Ohio Players (even after The Red Hot Chili Peppers cover version and Beavis and Butthead).

OK, but for today…

Yeah, sure, the themes for X Files and Buffy – by Mark Snow and Nerf Herder, respectively – but how about the the theme for the Buffy spinoff (that I actually liked better)?

I found this little nugget just a few minutes ago. I remember being half in love with Travis Fimmel when this show came out. It's hard to believe that it was the better part of a decade ago.
