Hi, I'm english but I live in France. I do speak French but I find it difficult to really express my personality in another language, so I find it hard to properly connect with people here, and don't know how a relationship with a french guy would work.

Also I haven't met a single gay person since being here.

What do i do?

Hey Joey are you living in paris or somewhere more remote? Have you checked up on the local gay scene?

someone said on another thread that straight french guys are very affectionate and touchy feely and that french straight guys often dress in a way that even a gay guy wouldn't elsewhere. It can be difficult in another culture to recognise gay guys when they may express themselves differently. Looks like gay bars and events might be the way forward.

Well, I m french and i lived abroad ..

I can relate to your feelings, I guess you have to overcomme tu cult difference + the language first... it took me a long time to be myself in another culture..

^ I need locations :grrr:
How should we start big JUB orgies when we don't know where we conglomerate ;)

^ Da stimme ich zu! :)

Hm .. okay so you are unfortunately a bit away from NRW. Having a mate to talk to in your native tongue is nice - but please assure that he is not your only free-time contact. You will only learn the ropes if you have "native" contacts.

Oh .. and I think you both will enjoy

start at the very end (my link) and work your way forward ;)

I thought living in a different country is easy to hookup as you don't have family baggage to deal with.
