FireFox 3.0.3 Bug

Has anyone else had the problem of bookmarks disappearing with the latest version? I just downloaded the update which said it "fixed" some small problems and all my bookmarks are gone, the browser doesn't autofill, go back one page doesn't work...the list goes on. I removed the entire program, downloaded the entire new version and restarted...problem fixed. Until I quit FireFox and restarted. Same story all over again!

It's because of horror stories like this that I've stuck with version 2. It was just updated yesterday so, as long as they keep supporting it until they sort out version 3, I'll be sticking with 2.

My system is so crappy as it is. I don't need even more problems than I already have with it.

I found this problem with an earlier version of Firefox - lost my bookmarks about 3 times - then gave up and I now (still) use IE for my bookmarks. I can access them from Firefox - but at least I don't lose them all the time...

Yes - and I did find a file. But, not being a techie, I couldn't find anyway to use it to restore the lost bookmarks.

I gave up after 3 or 4 times - and if I wanted to save something, brought it up in IE (the only time I ever use it) and saved it that way.

I think that Firefox 3 is great, I have no problem using it. Especially you can install a lot of add-ons to improve your convenience. I'm using it.

I can't say that I've ever had any issues with FF3. I was resisting the upgrade for awhile and then one day just let it upgrade itself. I don't have any complaints.

i can't say i've had any problem with the bookmarks either in version 3.0.3. actually i've never had a problem with the bookmarks in any version of FF.
