Hi guys, I have an entry in my dropdown url window that will not seem to clear out when I "clear private data" after I close out my browser. It has a gold star as well as other entries do. I use Delicious bookmarks too. Has the website found some way to block me from removing it? I'm kind of irritated in that I don't have control. The website in question is gay.youpornmate.com

Thanks for any help in advance,
Diodorus

Addresses with a gold mark in the dropdown menu of the address field are bookmarks.

ummm that won't help at all if you still have your history enabled. if you disable the history nothing will show up in awesome bar either. as he said the things showing up are having a star - thus they are bookmarks.

That was my thinking too Corny about the gold star but I've gone through my bookmarks and can't find it. I did a del.ici.ous search and found nothing. (I use delicious)

yeah I totally love it when people just ignore the post that has the solution in it right from the beginning ...

^ hoops? What fucking hoops? Deleting a bookmark if you don't want it to show up is jumping through hoops?

Well it is not meant to be deactivated like that, so this is not the "normal" way - and that's why it is complicated. If you deactivated the history it will also not show up in the address bar.
But this all was not the point of the OP's question.

Awww sheeeeit girrrrrl! I ain't know y'all rumble like this down in Tech.

j/k

For a week since he got it my bf has been begging me to download firefox. I'm goin' through the history of Firefox threads here to see if it's worth it. So far I've read nothing but complications on top of complications on top of complications. This one doesn't seem too bad if disabling your history is the quick fix.
