Fireworks on Hold?

Canada Day 2022 ends here in Ontario an hour from now. I'll be asleep when it does.

Mine as well. They start like a week before the 4th and the police dont seem to do much about. I guess they its difficult the catch.

There's No fireworks in my neighborhood so far this year - very unusual.

It's just a little too quiet around North Seattle. This could be an unusual July 4th for the Pacific Northwest.

More fireworks going off in the city again tonight. Haven't seen any but I can hear them clearly through my windows.

There will be some fireworks on the holiday and my suburb had their fireworks a couple of weeks ago when they had their community carnival. I heard on the news that some city in Colorado is having a light show by drones in place of fireworks because of the fire hazard out west.

I think residential fireworks should be banned everywhere without exception - they are harmful to animals - if you want to set off fireworks you should have to go to designated areas

Some towns here have cancelled fireworks shows due to wildfire danger (parts of the state are in drought conditions).

I'm getting conflicting information on Seattle's fireworks show on Lake Union.
Looks like rain all night and there's safety concerns with guns more numerous than M-80s.

If the show goes on, crowds will be able to view the display from Gasworks Park on Lake Union.

I wish they were on hold. My pitbull got so scared she peed on the couch. Wasnt expecting new furniture in my july budget but ok.

There's a permanent ban on fireworks across Seattle, except for the public show on Lake Union.

Fireworks are illegal. Yet, Seattle police, and 911 service, have asked the public to stop calling in fireworks activity - unless of injuries or building fires.

The effect of fireworks on pets is horrific, the COVID event wasn't much of a break!

Well yes fireworks in Illinois were put on hold or cancelled due to the mass shooting in Highland Park Illinois! This violence is so bad we actually made the BBC we've gone international it was on the Spanish stations too! Such a sad day! Nothing is sacred anymore! Just like it pissed me off when people didn't wear masks KNOWING they could and probably did infect other people - the fireworks piss me off because they have been told what it does to dogs - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
