Well I noticed that my blog had been looked at a few times, so as there was nothing there I decided that I should at least make an entry (so to speak!!)
It's the beginning of November and here in England we've got clear blue skies and we've just had the first frost of this fall so the central heating is on and keeping me warm, although some sort of warm drink is also required - maybe a decaff coffee, or perhaps one of the many herbal teas we've got in the kitchen. I don't like the fruity ones much as they smell nice but someone forgot the taste! My favourite at the moment is either ginger, or cinnamon and ginseng!
Madonna's "Like A Prayer" is playing on Radio2 (a BBC non commercial station) and it's time I did something useful!
Actually I really must try and 'phone an old friend of my mine today; he left a message on the answer phone while Neil and I were on holiday in Cyprus...how I wish we were still there, swimming in the beautiful Mediterranean. Anyway, my friend John asked me to call him back when I get a minute...hope he's doing alright as he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease a few years ago and apparently he's bald now! He's in his late fifties but he was always very self-conscious of his appearance (well for a straight man anyway!!), it must be very difficult for him. It’s quite difficult talking with him on the ‘phone as it shakes quite badly in his hand, but as Neil and I have moved over an hundred miles away from where he lives the ‘phone will just have to do.
