Just my two cents (I generally agree with Panda29 and KaraBulut and echo their points).
The skin thats removed (broadly speaking) is inner skin which is the sensitive muscusa, and the outer skin which by large is effectively shaft skin. Its not great, obviously, but if you think that only half of what was taken actually has direct sexual value it might make you feel a little better...
When I've been with uncut guys who can fully retract, all of them like stimulation of the head rather than me playing around with the foreskin, in fact one guy got really pissed off, as I was convinced I was doing a good job by playing with his "most sensitive bits" (foreskin) but really he wasn't getting much (if anything) from it.
I could be wrong, and please if uncut guys are reading and want to counter, DO!
But the foreskin is more of a preliminary sensitive organ, such as foreplay or getting started by stroking someone up. I do not believe the majority of uncut guys could reach a pleasant orgasm by just playing around with their foreskin. If you are cut try getting off by only working whats left of the inner skin... it feels semi good to start then goes "dull" quickly.
The issues therefore are threefold to me
1) Consent - Someone has agreed to an operation you did NOT want or ask for, it was not needed to save your life at that point. This is wrong, very very wrong, its purely ethical and theoretical but to me its the worst of the three points.
2) The head is always exposed - Some uncut guys do have similar glands to cut guys (look at porn!) but I do think to an extent cut guys have a less sensitive head because it dries out. If I've had sex and the head is still "moist/wet" ;-) and it rubs up against boxers or something its not pleasant, a uncut guy here simply pulls his foreskin back over the head. The point I'm making is the wetness MAKES you feel something, lick your hand and wave it around, you can FEEL more than if its a dry hand. Uncut guys are normally covered and moist so perhaps appear more sensitive than they necessarily are...
3) The look of a cut cock is very different - Appearance is important.
Restoring your foreskin solves all three issues to an extent. Yes it will NEVER be the original (and we have to accept that to move forward, if you cant you get fixated), but remember the new outer foreskin is the same as its original (shaft skin) and you can stretch some of the inner skin as well. You will be missing parts like the ridged band and the very thin "opening" which can stretch etc but you will gain most of what was taken.
Its too complicated to explain in words, but if you stretch enough skin you will FORCE coverage, it might not have a tight pucker opening unless you are slightly cold, but eventually the forces of science push the growing skin forward, and coverage is achieved.
People will NOT know you are cut unless you get hard or tell them. Not all foreskins are "tight".
Finally be careful with people banding around saying foreskin is full of nerves. Yes it does have loads! But they aren't all pleasure related.
