Fratmen movies for your Mom.

OK, so yes.. my parents know what I do.

Yes, I have sent them a few Fratmen movies.

Yes, they have watched them.

OK.. they were kinda freaked.

But they loved my directorial debut "Fratmen: going down" which was a documentary about our trip to Australia. I'm directing another one this month when we head to London and then on to the island of Ibiza in the Mediterranean Sea just south of Spain.

However, being the kind of AV nerd that I am.. shooting anything and everything I can on my trusty video camera from motorcycle rides to the fires of the Hollywood sign...

I make it a point at every Alumni Weekend to shoot a 1-hour static shot of the ocean as the sun rises.

And for my mother's birthday, I've got a DVD box set brewing... the sun rising over the Pacific in Hawaii (stunning red horizon), over the South Pacific in Austrlaia (such amazing clouds and sun) and over the Desert in Palm Springs (the colours are almost hypnotic). I'm going to add the sun setting on the Mediterranean Sea. Yeah, it sounds kinda dull is you want action, but I'm sure she'll like having it playing in the morning or at night.

And she wont' have to watch young men wanking off.

But I'm not there to party. I'm there to shoot a movie.

The guys will party and have some fun, and I'm there to document it.

(I'm taking a few days to myself in London afterwards and I'll party then.)

i've tried to take pictures, but i'm a total dunce with the camera; so i can't do it justice. i love seeing sunsets and sunrises; i bet your video would be incredible.

i can't vouch for the grand canyon at sunset/sunrise; i'm thinking further west.

although early, early dawn after it had rained at the south or western rims is an AMAZING sight of its own.

It never occured to me as a parent that my life could be a whole lot more interesting with a gay son. Where did I go wrong? But I'm not the mother, he would probably make me buy his videos.

My Dad actually really liked my documentary and said "the editing was genious they way you jumped around in time to tell the story how you did."

He also said they when he was young he'd have been a Fratman too if the guys have that much fun.
