I've found myself in a few situations similar to what you described. It could be either the fact that he knows that he shouldn't be seeing it that's turning him on, or else he just liked looking at it. I take it that you don't be nude regularly round each other? If the OP does follow through will some plan to get a better "read" on his friend and finds out that he is indeed 100% straight and whatever happened before was just a one off, that's great.
