Here's a pic of me:

As you can see, I have quite the frog neck, which others call a double chin. Has anybody had fat removed or plastic surgery done on his chin? While on other men the chin and neck meet at a 90° angle, I have a receding chin and flabby skin which goes down diagonally. It pisses me off as I'm not even 30 years old.

Once I have enough money, I don't know if I should get liposuction or plastic surgery. Is the latter highly risky? What's your experience with it?

Lipo under chin was no big deal, you must ware a turtle neck like elastic thing aroung you neck for about 3 nighs

Dr. Oz recently featured laser lipo (which is different from traditional lipo) for just this situation. They showed a lady who'd had it done and was thrilled with the results. She was back at work the next day.

The official name for the procedure is genioplasty (or mentoplasty) with regional liposculpting.

It involves placement of a silicone chin implant to augment the chin and pull the skin forward. Combined with liposuction of the pocket of fat under the chin, it gives a more masculine appearance and also makes the person look like they have lost weight.

This video is pretty typical of the result. You can see that he is having a bit of difficulty speaking with the implant but that tends to go away within the first month as the swelling goes down.

The procedure to which I was referring does not involve an implant.

After watching the video I'm as clueless as before

There was no before/after shot and it was all just blahblah. And what's that spot under the chin? I didn't understand it.

The before and afters are at the end of the video.

It's very subtle. Most people would just think that you lost weight.

For the lipo, they knock you out, stick a hollow knitting needle into a hole under your chin and the suck all the fat out.

For the implant, they make an incision on the underside of your chin, make a pocket between your skin and the chin bone and then stuff the implant into the open space.

It takes about 2-3 hours and anywhere from $3000-$5000.

The laser (SLIM) lipo does not require being knocked out. It's an enhancement over the old lipo procedure.

JMO - Paws, many gay men tend to exaggerate their physical flaws, so what you perceive to be a frog neck might be, to everyone else, just a little loose skin, and not requiring drastic surgery. Your gallery, while stunning, sets an unrealistically high standard of "attractive".

You might consider a thread lift - literally, threads are inserted under the skin that create a support or truss to the throat, lifting it higher up. Unlike surgery, there is no downtime and the results are instant.
Or, the chin implant alone, may suffice in your case.

Both my parents are old and have sagging skin on their neck, I know how I'm going to look like later in life and it's already starting to show. I have thousands of other disadvantages causing me problems, I don't need more.

The thread lift doesn't sound very safe (thread breaks and the chin falls down?), but I'll have a look at this procedure.
