gay life in Lima Ohio

I had relatives in Lima when I was a kid. I can't imagine there is any gay scene there. Why Lima of all places?
 
I used to live in NW Ohio while I was in college and had a couple friends who were from Lima. I've never been there but from what they used to say, there isn't much going on in Lima. I would imagine there isn't much of a gay scene either.

I don't understand why gay people move anywhere other than urban centers.
 
I'd get a bf real quick and make him move there with me.

I didn't think there was anything for homos to do in the entire state of Ohio, let alone Lima.

Actually, Columbus has a sizable gay population with an active enough scene that even straight folks on the other end of the state know the city as a homo hotspot. Beyond that though, you're right--Cleveland can't even hold a candle to the capital, so I can't imagine you'd have much luck with Lima.

Not that im a raging homo, theres plenty for gays to do in ohio throughout the state

I grew up in Cleveland and there is a huge gay scene there. Lakewood is a whole gay neighborhood. For a long time Lakewood was number three on the highest population of gays right after San Francisco and Miami! I grew up in a booming gay scene and rich nightlife. Those who have never been there should probably not comment. I mean how the hell would you know? I have many friends who live in Columbus and High Street is very gay and a lot of fun. I live in Phoenix now and the gay scene sucks. it was hard for me coming from Cleveland to this. You wouldn't think that was true but it is. I lived it.

I am from Akron/Cleveland as well. It's an OK time. I live in NYC now...and YES it's a better gay scene...WAY easier to meet boys and have sex. Exactly what I DON'T want. I haven't met any boys worth investing time in here, as most are uneducated wannabes with fake personalities that grate on you after a hott minute. Very superficial. Ohio is full of quality but not necessarily quantity. That's a good thing! I hope you love it!

You said throughout the state, which anyone with a brain would know isn't true. Cleveland is probably a different story, although I seriously doubt the ratio of gay people to the overall population is anywhere near SF.

Didn't think that there was many gay people in Lima. But went through the gay personals
