I have question for all you JUBs out there....

My friend and I were really craving some good gay cinema because we live in an area of intolerance and stupidity. So we need a movie after a horrible day of reoccur events. We realized though that we didn't know any good movies... We rented Gray Matters and it was pretty horrible acting.

Does anyone know any good movies? Something to fix our craving?

History Boys has been on my list of things to do for quite sometime now... So that is def one i need to see.
 
To Wong Foo isn't a 'gay movie' but it has drag queens.

One of my fave movies of all time. My mum loves it as well :D
 
blockbuster had some copies of "History Boys" for sale really cheap. Also, Blockbuster usually has a number of, occasionally really crappy, gay movies in the new releases section. It doesn't matter how intollerant the town you live in is, your Blockbuster will have it.

See "Latter Days" if you want to CRY. See "Angels in America" because every good gay SHOULD. See "Too Wong Foo..." to LAUGH! See "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" to LAUGH HARDER! See "Another Gay Movie" if you want intestinal problems from LAUGHING so hard! See "The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy" if you want a ROMANTIC COMEDY. See "Brokeback Mountain" if you want to see STARS and spent a lot of time getting a little UPSET. See "Connie and Carla" if you liked "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and love SHOWTUNES! See "In & Out" if you like coming out COMEDY, oh and Kevin Kline. See "Mal Educacion" aka "Bad Education" if you want foreign film with Gael Garcia Bernal in drag leading a really fucked up life. See "Prom Queen" if you want to see Shawn Ashmore's twin brother with blue hair acting ok in a made-for-tv movie about a gay TEEN in CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL.

There are just so many gay or gay themed films out there, that's just a sample of some of the ones I personally really like. Go to a video store and just peruse the shelves until you see a cover with a really hot shirtless guy on it. It's probably a gay movie. Oh, pink and/or purple and/or the rainbow are all good indicators that's it's a gay movie as well if you're just glancing through a bunch.
 
Oh, also, see "Wedding Wars" for JOHN STAMOS. It is a pretty good movie and it's so worth watching just for him.

the ONLY good gay themed movie I've EVER seen was "Wild Reeds" its a french independent movie about the coming of age and it's set in the 60's (i think) you might be able to find it if you look around
