Does anyone have any interesting nostalgic memories of gay websites from the past? I remember being a closeted teen and reading (daily) the coming out stories on ComingOutStories (dot com), a now defunct website. Oh, I miss that place. Some of the stories were about their first sexual experiences (which I hadn't had myself, at the time), but many were deeper stories about the process of realizing they were gay and/or coming out. It was such a great resource and comfort during that difficult, closeted time. I sometimes revisit it in the Internet Archive.

Does anyone remember visiting that website? Does anyone have any other interesting stories about gay websites from the past?
 
FlyGuyLive.com was really fun. I spent a lot of time on there. Lots of very hot cam guys and fun discussion and live chat.
 
I was thinking sbout badpuppy.com the other day. It was linked to lots of websites. And then there was Adult Check, which I dont even remember what the purpose was

my first gay site was gay.com and the chat feature it had there where you could chat with other in real time. It was a hook up site
 
One of first gay forums i found/joined was thegayforums.com (mighta even been the first, hard to remember now) I do know that of all them it was my favorite

I've also been on all these at some point: queerlikeus.com, outnation.net, lgbtcommunityforum.com, glbtforum.proboards.com, gayforum.org, shybi-guys.com, gay speak.com, emptyclosets.com
(most are gone now, but I believe a couple still do exist - which means i may technically still have an account there? .. of them: gay speak & empty closets were the ones I visited most, I actually quite liked those 2)

There was also dlist.com which as I remember wasn't so much a forum .. but it was a gay site based out of my home state of Colorado.

Last few times I tried logging in, I couldn't access it, still had an account there (& I'd even occasionally get one of those new 'reply in a subscribed thread' emails). attempting to log in would lead to a blank page. Only thing I can figure is I somehow managed to get myself banned there :lol:
 
I used to love thebananablog because I like amateur stuff but it got killed off for some reason:(
 
If by "gay websites" you also mean gay porn websites, there was a site called Masculinfinity (www.keepstill.com) which was one of favorite gay porn sites, it had a compilation of pictures and videos by all types of categories and fetiches. Miss it a lot.

I was able to sign up on it when I did
 
I used to like a forum called Billy's perv website. It had a gay stories sub-forum I used to contribute to and liked reading.
 
I remember a blog with many hot photos and something like "hot" in the name/url.
Is it right that there aren't as many Blogs with hot photos because tumblr etc. don't allow such images any more?
 
Gay. Com was my first real chat website but I used IRC to first start talking to other guys, met one of my best friends in a channel back in 1998 and we still hang out regularly.
