Yea... I don't know many gay people who play video games (outside of dance dance revolution). Especially fighting games like marvel vs. Capcom 2, tekken, stuff like that.
Then again...i play mostly in arcade...could be different at home.
 
Me thinks the joystick is the only stick straight guys will touch happily. Video games are for straight males mostly.
 
Dusty I think its the other way around. I think they're more straight gamers than gay ones. Then again with sites like gaygamer.net I see that there are more gay guys that are into games than I thought.;)
 
I have a lesbian gamer friend, and I know two bisexual girls that are dating eachother that are gamers as well. But I really don't have any gamer friends that are gay males.
 
I have four (heterosexual) roommates that LOVE video games. I hate video games.

I thought they were just "OK" when I was younger, but I can't sit through them at all now. All these "amazing new graphics" give me a headache and there are too many damn buttons on the controller things.

I would rather be in the gym playing basketball.

When I hear them turning on that damn X Box thing or whatever the fuck it is.............I want to scream, "Oh fuck! Please not tonight! Seriously."

Whenever our school's basketball team had an away game, it always meant that my boyfriend and I had to fight with my roommates so we could watch it on ESPN!

When I hear one of my roommates mention the game "Halo" I just cringe. :help:

Xbox Live, Sports games, and all that nonsense.
Hell, given that videogames have been engulfed by what caused hollywood to go entirely wrong, you see big guys, big guns/swords/weapon of choice on a huge chunk of covers, and a girl with big breasts on most others. I think about 10% of videogames don't have an "action packed cover" or a fanservice-y one.

Yech. I know a lot of people, both gay and straight, that play videogames. All different types as well. I can't really pinpoint a "pattern".
 
What the???? I really think it is a preference on where you like video games or not, or the style of video games that are offered. It has nothing to do with orientation. Just because a video game has a girl with big breasts in it and wears a skimpy outfit doesn't mean it's for straight people. It was the designers vision on what the character looked like, or should look like. People will assume that a video game is more straight oriented because straight guys will be attracted to the female characters. Dusty I wouldn't worry too much if you were off or not. It just depends on someone's preference of leisure activities, not sexual preference, in my opinion. Ok, there's my rant for the night, DAMN!:-)
 
Video games transcend sexuality. Few men--gay, straight, bi, or undecided--can resist the charms of a good game.
 
yea.. i dont think whether your gay a straight matters, some guys just live their videa games, others dont
 
Ifeel that I've encountered more straight guys who like vg's than gay guys, but I also agree that vg's transcend sexuality...at times.
 
It really doesn't matter when it comes down to it, but I will say that the majority of gamers are straight.

All my friends and acquaintances love video games; usually their RPGs, sports games, I myself am a big fighting game kinda guy.

As a guy mentioned above, I'm a BIG fighting game fan. I just bought Marvel vs. Capcom 2 again. I love that game, and I definitely dominate in that. I'm always really good in Soul Calibur, Tekken, DOA, etc.

I like it that I'm the only gay guy I know who plays video games like I do. I use it to talk shit lol. "You gonna get your ass beat by a queen?" :)

I'm halfway done with Bully right now.

Dominate...really? Did you tryout for Evo? If you haven't heard of it then you probably don't "dominate" as well as you think you do. :p

But yea. I actually don't know too many gay dudes that like video games period. It's nice to know there are some...but eh. I haven't met them lol
 
I'd have to go with most gamers are straight. All my gamer friends are straight, and all my gay friends think I'm a geek for loving games.
 
Other than need for speed 3:hot pursuit and nerf arenablast, I don't care for games much. I tried the demo for delta force land warrior, and got wacked by the computer generated players in less than a minute.

Evidently, that was all that I could be...:D

I think that, more than sexual preference, gamers need to be quick reflex, hand-to-eye kind of people.

And not easily distracted by thoughts of Brad Pitt...(!)
 
A lot of my gamer friends are straight. Sorry guys but straight have a more interest in video games than the gays do.
 
Me, Adrian (gay) = love good video games such as SMRPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars, Final Fantasy Tactics, Burnout 2 and Snowboard Kids 2.
My cousin, Nick (bi) = loves video games more than me at the moment. Loves SSBM, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, Legend of Zelda series and now he's got a Wii. I'm so damn jealous! ^_^
My friend, Steve (straight) = likes video games like GTA or The Suffering
My ex-friend and Nick's girlfriend, Brianne (bi, I guess) = likes video games, mostly games where you can be a girl. Plays Champions of Norrath
My dear friend, Jeremy (so gay!) = played Kingdom Hearts more than once
I'm not sure if he's my friend or not but:
Associate, Randy (straight) liked Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (Sonic Mega Collection), Soul Calibur and Soul Calibur 2 and a lot of games that you can just mash the same button on.

Straight people do play video games. I guess you've just never been around one, which I find weird. o_O
 
Me and my pals must be freaks....we are totally devoted to the the Final Fantasy game series. Plus, I have all of the Nintendo, SEGA, X-BOX, GameBoy and WII Consoles.

I'm just a friiggin' idiot.​

yea, I'm obsessed with my 360, especially RPG's. Once my new computer gets here I'll be playing WoW for the first time, I CAN"T WAIT!!!!!!!!!
