I am just curious if anyone has been following the hostage situation on GH?
Ive been watching for many years now and i have to say that this storyline has to have some of the best lines/directing and even acting.

Yeah, it's pretty good. I'm not a big GH fan but when I heard they were writing it similar to how 24 is done I decided to tune in. Apparently Jason is on the inside and is gonna try and save everybody.

I've been watching it. While I did like what the show has done for February Sweeps, I think last year's storyline with the virus was a lot better. Maybe I'm just a little pissed because I know which character is going to die.

Yes it is Alan who dies. Stuart Damon was fired because of budget cuts. There are rumors Lucy Coe might return for the funeral. So at least something good came out of this.

I liked the virus storyline as well... It is very sad that they are acutally killing him off. I figured he would have blown up in the hotel and that would have left an opening. It is weird how they are killing off the Quartermaines

I tape it everyday. The hotel storyline was interesting but I think it just went on way too long. Oh and I cant believe Liz told the truth about her baby on friday. Nothing good is going to come from that:)

LOL I'm watching it right now on my SoapNet marathon tape (I catch up the following week!).

Wow, Moonrabbit, I didn't know that the wonderful Lynn Herring (Lucy Coe) would be coming back for Alan's funeral. Herring is right up there with my all-time favorite soap legends (Robin Mattson, Kassie DePaiva, Lane Davies, Michelle Stafford, etc.). I hope they can get her to stay longer, though, especially now that the just-as-wonderful Kin Shriner (Scotty) is back.

Also, is it just me or is the once-fun-to-watch Kelly Monaco (Sam) just an absolute pain in the Port Charles ass these days? #-o She seems fixed on nothing but Jason, Jason, Jason. And her monolgoue always comes off as a faint whisper. I hope the rumors of her exiting the show this summer prove to be true.

As for 30-year-vet Stuart Damon's (Alan) last week on the show, that's sad. There's so few Quartermaine's left with Lila, Ned and now Alan perishing. Jane Elliott (Tracy) and John Ingle (Edward) are gonna be serving up some classic soap drama this week. Kudos to them. :-({|=

I've been watching off on and (usually when Passions is on commercials) and was PISSED when I turned it there today and the whole hostage crisis was over. Last time I watched was last Thursday. I miss TWO days and everything is all over, lol.

well i was a big fan but got tired of sonny, jason and carly hoggin the whole show every time they appear in an episode which is just about every day they are usaly in every scene and the others dont get a chance to be in the spot light

You can blame the ABC Daytime President, Brian Frons for that. He's the one who thinks the show should center around Sonny and younger cast members, while the vets are nothing more than background characters. And whoever disagrees with his opinion need to be "trained" to think otherwise. I'm not exaggerating, he actually used the word "trained". Can you believe the arrogance of that man? Days managed to get rid of JER as head writer, so maybe there's hope Brian Frons could get the boot too.

About Lucy returning, I should've made it more clear that it's still a rumor at this point. But I will be sure to inform you guys when or if something is announced.

Ya know, there's a lot of people that let Brian Frons get in the way of liking their (once) favorite ABC shows or they'll use him as an escape goat, etc.

But the fact is is that I am enjoying "One Life To Live" and "General Hospital" just as much today as I did when I began watching them 15 years ago. ..|

Sorry, "All My Children," the same can not be said for you.

So, as long as I don't have to watch Frons on my TV screen everyday, I am a happy soap camper escaping in the day to day dramas of Luke Spencer, Jessica Buchanan, Georgie Jones, Todd Manning, etc.

I'm not letting Brian Frons get in the way of me watching the ABC soaps. Nor am I using him as some kind of scapegoat. I'm simply stating how I don't agree with the way some things are run on the show. I enjoy watching GH too. I just feel there's room for improvement. I don't see why I'm not entitled to this opinion.

I've pretty much dumped most of my ABC soaps. AMC is absolutely the worst. I 'm giving CBS a try. They seem to have much better actors, especially As The World Turns.

I'm aware of all of Frons' mistakes but every regime/CEO is under scrutiny during their time at the top. It's just something that comes with the job.

My biggest beef is usually with the writers but I understand that there's times when higher heads can dictate what they write too so criticizing them is even pointless.

And I agree that "As The World Turns" has been pretty top notich 2006-07. Sadly Jon Hensley (Holden) didn't have his name in the pre-Emmy ballot which makes no sense to me.

And I am loving Kelly Menighan Hensley (Emily). Her current hooker storyline with the divine Robin Mattson (Cherri) as her lady pimp is great. It looks like Emily will soon be visiting sister CBS soap "The Young & The Restless" and discovering her sister Alison has become a call girl too and has ties with seedy Amber.

Love it when soaps visit other soap cities. This one should be fun.
