it totally depends. I find that salivas helps it better to go down on someone, especially when you're trying to deep throat. If there's no lubrication, you couldn't actually do it.

Then again, salivating is actually very good. As you salivate, pathogen fighting enzymes are secreted with your salivas. During the part of digestion, the process of fighting off pathogens actually happens in your mouth, then later in the other parts of the human's organs.
