Erie,

I have one question.

Why?

Babe, don't you like/love yourself as you are?

Sure, if you have some physical defect, then I am for getting some "corrective surgery"; but just to look younger or change what I am.......uh, NO!!!

I am NOT blasting you sweetie; but you got to love yourself for who you are........who you are, that face you look at every moring when you brush your teeth, etc!!

Perhaps there's something in your back-ground that has caused you NOT to want to be who you are???

OK, I will/would opt for a little botox to rid myself of so many wrinkles, say when I turn 90!!! lol(*8*) (*8*)

Erie, thanks for being truthful and answering such personal questions.....

Perhaps, therein, being a twin is one of the issues (I'm NOT a shrink) that causes you to want to maybe look different than your twin?

Just asking?

........and, since you come from a family of people who like to get frequent flyers at the face-lifting-palace, that could be the reason you also want to join the club..........!!! lol

I just hope you consider the consequences, think about the intensity of the "surgery" you're having, and the real reason for doing it and NOT the one you tell us; but being truthful to yourself........K?

I know often models have trouble looking in the mirror and NOT seeing a fat-slob who needs to loose weight, etc.......

Right?

I hope you will be like Dorian Grey and use the portriate in the closet to look older/have face lifts done, while the real you just accepts YOU as you are, with flaws and all, for better or worse..........Hey, that's marriage isn't it?
lol

Anyway, "Love the face you're with"!!!

Love ya,

"THE Cock"!(*8*) (*8*)

Got to agree with Cocktales, if it is neccesary I would go under the knife but just to make me look better, no way. And believe me if I started fixing little things that would make me look better, I could put my local plastic surgeon's kids through collage and set him up for retirement.

Um, hate to tell you guys this, but no surgical procedure that involves a general aeneshetic is completely safe. Every time you go under you have a risk of dying on the table. I would be very wary of any of these procedures.

I would rather see my body age , besides the thought of surgury *runs and hides*

First off... many, if not most, cosmetic procedures and be completed without general aesthetic. Botox (one of the most common), hair removal, electrolysis, scar removal, laser procedures including tattoo/hair/pigment removal, (getting a tattoo in the first place, for that matter), piercing, dozens of cosmetic dental procedures...

Braces and caps are cosmetic procedures (most often) and yet most people wouldn't hesitate to have these done. How many of us have tattoos or piercing?

At the end of the day, who's body is it anyhow?

To answer the questions "How do you feel about cosmetic surgery?" I feel it is a personal choice and as such is entirely up to the individual. "What would you fix? Well, if my ears looked like topiaries, I'd get that "fixed". If my back resembled Chewbacca, fire up the laser. "Have you ever had a procedure done?" Yup "If so, what was it?" Had a youthful transgression "undone"...a very minor procedure.

Would I have a major procedure like a face-lift? Not bloody likely, but ask me again in 40 years. I sure as hell hope I don't feel the need! The main reason can be summed up in two words: Burt Reynolds. Previously a handsome older man, now he has a face that makes babies cry and dogs growl. Every time I see his kabuki mask of a face I feel nothing for pity for him.

I beleive Plastic surgery is like any other elective proceedure, it's a tool that is available and I don't feel it should be looked at as some sort of pathology. Like anything else in life it's you motivation which needs to be understood. It's not endulging in a whole box of Twinkies that's the problem... it's WHY you're eating all those twinkies.

That said, at various times I've wanted to change or "fix" various things I thought were wrong.... my nose, my thin lips.... and I'm rally glad that it was out of my reach to do any of it back then. I have grown into my face. I also realise that the reason I wanted these things changed was because I felt inadequate comparing myself to others... I thought if I could be better looking that I'd find acceptance. Today I've accepted myself, and in so doing, realised I had everything I need to be accepted and loved all the time.

That said, I am expecting to have some minor work done as I get older to prop up my face should it fall dramatically. That is to say, I will have bags or jowls fixed, but I don't want to end up looking like I'm walking around with someone else's 20 year old face. I'm ok with looking my age, just as good as I can look at that age.
