Guys I need your help I have a bad case of Cabin fever

For a while I have been without a car I really don't want to go into it let just say that with the high milage and the cost of gas it is not worth repairing so I am saving up for slightly used car that get better gas milage. Now here that thing. I live Gay Siberia meaning that the only conection to anything gay is this site and as much as I love you one and all I am getting a bad case of cabin fever and I would love to get back up to gay central at least once a month now here my problem all public transport close up where I live around 7ish so that leave going up in a taxi which would cost me around $70 dollars one way not including tip. SO do you have any ideas I live in La Mirada for you in the LA Area its off the I-5 just north of Buena Park

Occasionally I meet real people here but I'm so shocked and surprised when it happens that they're long past before I think of anything intelligent to say.
Well, you know what to do, Jory. There's some kind JUB soul in the SGV that can meet you at Starbucks or whatever. They'll be along before long.

By the way, is there a likely local pub out in the San Gabriel Valley or near La Mirada? Might as well give it a free advert to the JUBbers if there is a place.

I use to live in Glendale but my dear roommate sort of forgot to pay the rent so I had to look for somewhere to live. There is not gay in La Mirada we are University town Christian University

Few things come to mind:

Share a ride, if you can.

Get on the web and start advertising that you can host. Not a big deal, but better than nothing.

Get online and see, if there is any willing fellow JUBer or akin soul, who might have a spare bedroom, so that you can use the public transport and overnight at his place. Offer to pay something or possibly do some useful work for your host.

Look, saving up is a great idea. Sure, it doesn't come without certain drawbacks, too. So, try your best to work around those.
