Guys of all orientations "experimenting"" Exactly how common do you guys think it is?

Hello, I've been lurking this site for a while now and I finally decided to make a profile. Since being on this site and reading the comments I've often been wondering after the topic of guys "experimenting" homosexually without actually being gay. Women get away with it in this society and from I could see are thought of as the only gender who does experiment. But since browsing this site and seeing some comments I've wondered if that's actually true...and so on to my question.

I read in Kinsey that about 40% of guys had a same-sex experience before while for women it was only 20%. I think now the numbers for women are higher while for men iit's around the same since society hasn't tolerated it any better. We never hear about it though. But on here, gay guys are always sayig how many "straight' guys they've been with so I'm wondering which gender really experimenents more. So do you guys think guys experiment with homosexuality as much as girls or even more than girls, but NEVER ever tell anyone about it?

I'm curious as to what gay or bi guys think about this topic.

I have no data to go by, but I think that men are more likely to "jump the fence" and try the other sex than they normally go with than women are. Just my own opinion and I have no solid evidence to back it up or anything. I think it's because men have a higher sex drive on average than women do, and also because of the relative ease of getting a man into bed compared to getting a woman into bed, on average.

I also think men may try "the other way" out of curiosity or mere horniness and availability, whereas women may try "switching teams" because they feel an emotional connection to someone who is not normally in their "field." I've long thought that men stray from a marriage for sexual reasons while women stray from a marriage for emotional reasons. But again, all this is my opinion and I have no studies I can cite to back this up.

I myself don't even fit my own generalizations. As a gay man, I have never "experimented" with a woman; though I have been curious about what it would feel like, especially after a straight friend described it to me, I have never actually felt the urge, even once, to get out and do some experimenting with women. So I'm not even an example of my own generalizations. Even so, I still think that men are more likely to experiment.

Its hard to generalize I can only go by my experiences with str8 guys. Str8 guys in porn are bombarded with porn that shows;

1) Girls loving to take it up the ass

I think straight guys who are merely "intellectually curious" about what 2 men would do together sexually could satisfy that curiosity just by watching gay porn, if not by actually being with a guy. I dont think guys mind women talking, especially if they've got a big dick or are awesome in bed. That gets 'em more pussy... they love that. But if they're bad in bed or small then yeah they don't want talk. Just the stuff i've heard other dudes talk about.

Guys in the frat, bro, workout, sports culture just won't talk if they fuck around with another guy...its not cool. So if you shag/nail/mess around with one of them they just have to be comfortable with you. If you can assure them with your mannerisms and actions that you won't blab you'll have a good chance to fuck around with them.

I personally like the aggressiveness of guys who play sports, are in frats, stuff like that. I just play it cool and give assurance no talking will be done and its a key to getting in their pants if they are the least bit curious. If you include adolescent sleepovers I'd have to say it's almost 100% of guys who have at least put on a jo show for each other. Not only did all of my friends do this with me in high school / college, but each of them talked about how they'd done it with other guys. Of course that was years ago, but now that guys are in their 30s-40s, when you get to know them enough / get them drunk enough, if you discreetly bring up the subject of whether they used to jerk it and show off hardons with other guys, every single one of them will always say yes. I would totally agree with this assertion. When I was in the boyscouts in jr high and first half of high school it happened a lot on campouts.
