Not even No Doubt should take her ass back at this point. She's lost it.

She needs to release "Yummy" ASAP.

Although it was billboards higher gainer in sales this week. Its climbing the charts.

Congrats Rihanna.

That hair and that tired outfit she was wearing was not the look. It was not even close to cute and her dancers move like those scary little children in the grudge.

It's even hard for me to believe that she's above 30 yrs of age and is a mum and "singing" a song that is utter crap and devoid of substance!

I didn't see her perform on the Billboard awards but I think "Wind It up" is TERRIBLE![-X
What a mess of a song!
I discovered No Doubt back in Jan. of '95 and have been a fan ever since but there were only 2 songs on her solo album I enjoyed "Hollaback Girl" and "Cool."
I always liked her slower songs better anyway!

The ability to manipulate her fans and music buyers into buying any old crap she puts out?

Maybe on her next album, she'll experiment with belching her songs. I see a #1 spot for that already....in America.

I Think Ludacris has done that shyt already

I guess I'm in the minority, but I love "Wind It Up" and how absolutely insane it is. Sometimes it seems like some people are constantly doing everything they can to try and diss the current music scene. Just because some people like a certain song or type of music doesn't make them stupid.

Every song doesn't have to have tons of substance or have some huge revelation for the world in it. Some songs are just meant to be fun, sound cool or make you dance.

I'm totally with you. Everyone treated SexyBack the exact same way. Sometimes artists just wanna make songs that people can have fun with, makes you feel good and makes you wanna shake your ass. Loosen up folks and move ya ass LOL. I heard Wind It Up at a club last weekend and it sounded really good!

We really all should start a petition to bring back No Doubt. Without that band she is slipping down in my estimations. I didn't appreciate when she was licking carpet with those Japanese school girls but now she's yodelling?! WTF?

gwen stefani's performance on the billboard music awards was...H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E. i thought she would had done a better job but she sounded like some shit that was coming out of a horse's ass. seriously what was up with all the hollering besides "wind it up"? on top of that she was trying to do some dance in the middle of the song. she was kicking her legs and jumping. i was like "okay, i'm already through watching this shit!" worse performance from gwen stefani ever!

Groundbreaking...thats all I have to say.

She is different and has a different sound. She is campy, yes. But she has something that I think most of you don't get.

You mean She is different and the NEPTUNES have a different sound. She has no credit for this shit.

Wow, I didn't see the Billboard Awards, but I like "Wind It Up"... It's nothing to take too seriously, it's just a fun song...

Eh, I didn't see her Billboard performance, but I can't say that I think much of her new album. There are maybe 3 songs on it that are okay, but absolutely nothing on it really excites me or makes me wanna dance.

The yodeling in "WIU" is reeeeally bad and annoying, so I don't care much for that single, but I found a remix of the song called the "bashment remix" that I actually really like. Great, funky beat and it would be right at home in the dance clubs. :D

Hopefully there will be some other dance mixes of other songs off this CD in the future that I'll like, cuz the album itself just doesn't do much for me. :(

I loved No Doubt, but Gwen on her own isn't scoring as well with me. Her last CD had some good songs on it, but this new one is a step down, IMHO. *sigh*

As funny and over the top as the performance was, her album is fantastic. She's already back with No Doubt so don't worry. You have to respect someone who will take the risk.

No I don't. And I don't.

And I listened to the album. It's just as horrid as Wind It Up.

The New York Times agrees. Along with Entertainment Weekly, and All Music Guide, and a slew of other publications.

Much of “The Sweet Escape” sounds forced and secondhand; it’s one thing to emulate Madonna, another to be playing catchup with Fergie.

Identity is everything in pop, but the majority of this record serves only to bury what made Gwen Stefani unique in the first place.

If the dance production on The Sweet Escape were better, these hipster affectations would be easier to forgive, but they're not: they're canned and bland, which only accentuates Stefani's stiffness.

Ultimately, Stefani isn't convincing as a dissatisfied diva.

It's not that The Sweet Escape is an unwelcome diversion or that it comes too soon on the heels of Stefani's debut (it's been two full years), but it's starting to feel like No Doubt's future—you know, the one left in question after 2001's Rock Steady, the band's third consecutive creative zenith—is being squandered amidst all the solo stargazing.

well obviusly you dont know good music, i personally think it is a great song, hollavack girl was horrible

And it'll go to number one and have a slew of top 10 hits. :p

Great. I hope she's happy with her number ones while respect for her goes down the tubes.

It's sad that people would value Billboard chartings and positions over quality of music.

It's weird. I like the beat of "Wind It Up." I can shake my ass to it like crazy. But I really don't like some of the lyrics... like the line, "Once it gets in, the popping begins, and then you'll find out why all the boys stare." Something about that line just sounds so stupid, LoL. I'm not sure what it is, but it grates on my nerves everytime I hear it.

The beat is awesome, though. I love it! It's the lyrics that need help... definitely seems like the writing was rushed on that song or something.

I haven't heard the rest of the album, though.

People keep talking about Michael Jackson too..I'm sure he's loving it.
