A very mundane topic here friends.....
But I've been under the weather for a bit and was about 2 weeks past getting a haircut. Was able to have it today. What a damned nice feeling it is to have the locks shorn and short once again.

How nice is it to get a haircut???? I love it.... Can't figure out why I used to wear my hair long. Couldn't do it now.

How much do you guys pay for haircuts? Mine are $20... including a tip. Worth every penny I figure.

:D :D :D :D :D

My hair takes forever to really grow long,it just gets thick!About $18-20,including the tip.:D

Got my haircut today. been doing it about every 3 weeks lately. it was $12 with tip. usually it is 16 with tip but today being tuesday was a discount day.

Amazing! I pay over $40 for a cut, plus a tip. I need to move. And that does not include any coloring.

I shave my head myself. The last time I actually paid for a haircut was more than 10 years ago; it used to cost about a fiver.

I'm like Hoody, I cut my own hair! I could not see paying $10 to $25 or more to do something I can do myself! So several years ago, I got some clippers, which have paid for them selves many times!

With mine getting thinner and thinner, it looks horrible when it grows out. I keep it short and cut about every 5 weeks. I pay $25 + tip. I've been using the same stylist for years and it's worth going there instead of one of the larger chains where you see someone different every other month.

twenty five plus five for tip. My Chinese friend who always accommodates my schedule, and does a thorough and fast, competent job is beautiful. He is a find.

I remember that in the 1960s I paid seventy-five cents for a cut, head and neck massage, and liberal sousing with smelly oil. When I moved to the city, I stepped up to the nine dollar cut, and paid one dollar tip. Same guy for a long time. Then one day he started calling himself a stylist instead of barber, and the standard zoomed up to twenty, with no noticable enhancment of overall quality. Hey!, they gotta work with what you bring em.

Sounds like Herry is in the UK where it's not customary to tip. I looked like a freak, but insisted on tipping in pubs when I was there.

I usually pay about $20 and leave a $5 or $6 tip. Sadly, I always forget to tip the girl who washes my hair. Such a bad habit but then there is no tip jar there either which doesn't help.

Gee ... I feel kinda CHEAP ... I've gone to the same guy now for four years .. He only charges $6.00 for a haircut , so I give him $10.00 ..... and that is it ...
I love the feel of someones fingers going on my scalp and thru my short hair .

My problem is finding the time to get it cut. I need one right now. I have a friend that cuts hair for a living. He only charges me $10 because I'm a friend but I give him $20. That is still pretty cheap.

Do you guys tip for everything?
Dont people get paid there?

you guys tip and you dont have tax included in the price on the shelf i would be so confused

haircut is about A$30 just for a cut

We normally tip for services: haircuts, deliveries by restaurants, at restaurants, bars, drivers, doormen, pedicures, masseurs, etc.

It is a little confusing because we don't normally tip my house cleaners that come on a regular basis, or my clothing cleaners, plumbers, mail delivery people, fireman, policeman, repairmen, gardeners, etc.

I let my hair grow for 3 years, until October this year, and shaved it all off.
I get my cuts for free though :-)

I'm not paying anyone to take part of me away. I cut it myself and use my webcam to see the back!

Oh, I've got a tip for the firemen alright. ;)

Yes, some of them are so cute! One of the common discussions in our Social Committee is how cute the firemen are and how we can get them to strip at one of our community events...haha....jokingly of course...don't think that kiddies would really enjoy it. We do invite them to all of our events. Eye candy is always a good thing.
