Not optimal. But most chocolate Halloween candy is good for six months to one year. And other hard candy different types are probably good for double that.

Loved all of it as a kid. Now the amount of sugar they use makes me nauseous.

So the buying strategy for candy to hand out to kids might be to buy when the stuff is on clearance on November 1st and saved for next year!

Not surprised. The supermarkets here will start stocking Christmas crap in September. The answer is not to buy any of it until December.

One real plus in my opinion---I can just leave cobwebs alone and say: "They are Halloween decorations!"
