I saw the new movie "Hard Candy" on Friday. YIKES! I was not sure as to what the movie was about, but I knew that it was a psychological thriller. Has anyone else seen it? It's about a 30-something guy who is an online predator, who meets a teenage girl at a coffee shop. I don't want to give anything away, but the girl has her revenge on the guy, and I was like, YIKES!! (*S*)

If it hadn't been for Patrick Wilson I would have left mid-movie....I gradually came to hate the girl...in the end she was no better than he was....but maybe that was the point of the movie....

Havent seen it yet,but lookin forward to it.
the actress who plays the girl is in the new x-men movie aswell

I've read that it was a particularly painful scene. Was it as graphic as I think it is (like it was in Sin City)?

That scene was not graphic... but man, the mental image with haunt any guy.

And yes, Patrick Wilson IS a hottie... one of the men on my celebrity crush list on my album.

Saw it last night. The husband wasn't too impressed -- he thought it was a rip-off of "Extremities" (for all you young-uns, that's Farrah Fawcett's rape revenge movie). I thought it was really good, especially Ellen Page. I'm curious to see her in the new X-Men now. She plays Kitty Pryde (yes, I had to look that up on the internet, but no, I didn't do it to impress any 14-year-old boys ;) ). Goldfrapp rules!

Patrick Wilson is gorgeous! I really loved him in Angels In America!

I'll keep a look out for it. Does anyone know when it's going to get a wider release? The closest theater that it's playing in is in Atlanta right now.

My post on imdb:

For some reason, I don't like the fact that Jeff died. I mean, Hayley always had the upper hand against Jeff. And I, as most people might have, would assume that Hayley would win. But I don't think she shouldn't. Jeff said it himself that she can't just leave his house that easily. The tug between the two should be present until the end of the movie imo.

And another reason why I don't like him dying is because this would symbolically mean that the "problem" of pedophilia is easy to solve and that it will go away. Wrong.

Well that's if Jeff actually died.

I am going to see Patrick Wilson tomorrow night in 'Barefoot In The Park', a Broadway play he's starring in with Amanda Peet! I cannot wait.

Finally got around to seeing this movie.

It has to be one of the most distrurbing films I've ever watched, and I've seen my fair share of distrurbing films.

The movie, despite the creepy factor to it, is very well done and a very good movie. Although, it might be a bit too extreme for some viewers.

(Irony, a Goldfrapp song just came up on my iTunes player as I'm typing this...And since there's only 2 on the list out of 1497 songs, that's pretty coincidental.)

But back to the point.

It was a good movie, and I want to pick it up on DVD...I'm just not sure I'd ever watch it again...Unless it was to show it to someone else.
