Have u ever seen a movie being made? I actually did'nt see a movie being made but, when Runaway Train was being filmed I saw the train after it was blown up. Eric Roberts and Rebecca Demornay played in it also. Or ever been in a movie as a extra?

A English program Casualty (English version of ER I guess you could say) is filmed near me, a lot of the outdoor stuff they film on a generic road is filmed at the locally known "Road to nowhere" which is just off a roundabout and literally is just a empty road that never got finished.

The other day I was driving home and could clearly see an ambulance and a filming crew as I drove over the roundabout. That was quite cool!

I saw some of the filming for the Tommy Lee Jones flick, "Cobb".

Our suburb was used for the American TV series Nightmares & Dreamscapes and also for a couple of horror films...They were saying its much cheaper to film away from America..But probably not so much these days...:)

Stop this video at 48 seconds and look at the dark window top right. (under the light coloured window)

I was in that room.

It took all day for them to shoot this section and it lasted about a I minute.

STAY with Naomi Watts.

They were filming a scene on the Brooklyn Bridge.

So cool.

I was first in line to see the movie, and i was like, i was there.

Yes. The five minute documentary I made with the help of YouthCO AIDS Society and the National Film Board about street youth and harm reduction. I don't think there's any place to watch it yet, but hopefully it'll make a difference when it's released.

yeah, it was "Honey, I blew up the kids"

I was TDY to Vegas and they were filming a scene (never saw the movie) right outside the casino I was in. There were 8 of us and we just happened to be playing slots by windows next to the street where they were filming.

we all stopped and "watched" them film it ... a few minutes later this guy comes in with security guard and tells us to stop looking out the window ..

his exact words "you're making this look like a movie, so please move away from the window". WTF ??? it IS a movie. :p

the security guard closed off the section of slot machines where we were to prevent others from doing the same thing. we did get complimentary drinks and chips for our "trouble"

I've been an extra in a couple commercials, a few TV shows, and two movies.

In the wretched Rodney Dangerfield "Ladybugs", I was in several crowd scenes. Look for my sister, as a goalie, to miss the easiest shot in the world during the "Great Balls of Fire" sequence.

In the to-date-unreleased film "Skills Like This", I even get a close-up. Watch the scene where two of the main characters go to quit their jobs, and look for a corporate drone to peek his head up over the partition and stare at them, confused. Yes, the gargoyle is the corporate drone. :)

Downtown Peterborough (most often one of its many cafés) has substituted for cities in the United States. Samuel L. Jackson was here a year ago or so filming scenes in one of his movies. (I believe it was supposed to be Seattle.) I didn't see Samuel, though, but I did see Graham Greene when he was filming here for another movie a few years ago.

In the recent movie Music Man (with Matthew Broderick), a small town named Millbrook, just a stone's throw away from Peterborough, substituted for River City, Iowa and Bill Murray's movie Meatballs was filmed just north of here.

There have been many others, but those are the few which come to mind at the moment.
