Having Problems with Morpheus

Whenever I double click on a file to be downloaded, rarely does that file start downloading.

Any tips when using Morpheus?

Thanks in advance. :D

Yeah uninstall that and use Limewire or eMule, Morpheus is a walking time bomb in your computer you can get a trojan just by downloading any kind of file.

These are not any safer. I have had to work on a friends computer at least three times to get rid of shit that was down loaded when he used Limewire. I have finally convinced him to stop. If you use most of these free file transfer services, you are going to get burned sooner or later.

I've had limewire for years with no problems. Maybe I lucked out.

Do you guys suggest any other downloading services?

thank you!

Like noelie said, BitTorrent. Try BitLord for downloads and there are any number or torrent search sites, like www.torrentspy.com. You only other alternative is eMule. It's the only SAFE P2P program out there. And yes, it IS safe.

eMule is saying something about an installation code...

I'm trying the other links now as well.

Thanks!

Should we have a (sticky) thread listing all the kinds of software that people regularly use along with their official websites?

Plus all the main hardware manufacturers websites (specifically their support/drivers sections)?

A kind of one stop shop? Maybe a mod would 'mod' it so that there's nothing superfluous posted?

Just a thought.

You're the expert maybe you should make one and then contact Corny to have him sticky it. Because I'm still trying to find out what is a good firewall for Vista because my Norton has 7 days left!
