(What do you think of the character Omar? It's a far cry from your typical gay character; very well done in my opinion, and much more a person than an "interesting punchline"i.e he's not "rich, white, blond, skinny, tight clothes and annoying personality and fake "issues"".)

It's a sleeper hit, although I'm not surpised many people here don't watch it. It's one of the better written crime dramas.

He is a Homothug drug dealer. I just looked him up and he is so thug sexy. You best believe as soon as is possible i will be getting the DVD's to catch up on the series.

It sucks that HBO doesn't show male nudity anymore. Ever since OZ they got scared, but its not TV its HBO whats the big deal.

If i was an actor i would love to have a guest starring role on The Wire and play Omar's, one night stand lol.

We'd meet at a bar and he would take me to his place and make mad passionate homothug love to me.

I would purposely mess up my lines so that we would have to kiss over and over again. I dont know how i would conceal my erection but i'd find a way because the man that plays Omar is so thug sexy. It'd be such a fun scene to shoot.

The Wire is Gold, Hey Everybody!, the show is Pure Gold. It's the Best Show I watch rightnow and probably with 24 as the Best Show on TV.

As for Omar, newboy, - he's my favorite character, not because he's gay, but because he's just bad and everyone respects that. Omar has had three boyfriends in the 4 years he's been on the show. First he had a bi-racial boyfriend (they kissed alot), then a black one (Ernest Waddel- the guy who plays Ice-T's son on Law & Order:SVU, they had sex and kissed a few times), and this season his boyfriend is Puerto Rican and very hot, the hottest of the three with the sexiest lips... Omar, for the first time, went FULL FRONTAL in the second or third episode of the season. And being that this show goes ALL OUT- they do now hold anything back. From the violence to the lesbian sex to cruel nasty politics to racism to gay man sex they aren't afraid to be daring but yet thoughtful and entertaining.

It's a Masterpiece and will be back for a fifth season after this season wraps.

He likes men and everybody knows it. He's a bit of a loner, but lives with his boyfriends.
The storylin is not about him being gay, it's just a part of him you see, just like if it were his girlfriend (only that his lovers are usually partners in crime).
