Hello! I am new to this site (obviously) and I just wanted to say hey!

I am a college student in North Dakota (the frozen tundra) and it is quite hard to meet respectable young (but not creepy young) gay guys. I am hoping that there are others out there like me who are maybe in the area, if not, thats cool too! I can always use more internet friends to chat with!

Well I'm about as far away from Fargo as you can get (in the continental USA), but I'll still say:

"Hi, welcome to the boards! Have fun!"

First of all welcome to the boards...

I have to tell you that as soon as i read your title for this thread i immediatly thought of the movie "Fargo" which i found to be a good movie :)

Welcome to JUB! Are you on the edge of spring now in Fargo?

I love Fargo! The Fargo theater, the Cajun Cafe, the I-Beam (which is technically in Moorhead, MN), etc...

Great town.

isn't there also some map thing somewhere with a dot where everyone is? i know i've done that at least twice since being here....just not sure where it was?

Welcome aboard!

You know, I've been to Fargo, but you'll notice that I didn't stay there long. :D

Like NineOfClubs, I've been through Fargo, but it was so long ago that I don't remember it. However, a couple of years ago I drove to Bismarck, Minot, and the western part of the state, and I was impressed. I like the ruggedness and emptiness of the prairies. Also, I think I have a cousin who teaches at a university in Fargo, so there's a tenuous family connection there.

Anyway, welcom to JUB. It's habit forming, I must warn you.

Wow! This is an awesome site! I really hope that in time I can find a online support system.

While I am not totally ready to come out, I am getting to the point where I feel the need to go out and meet people. I am not really set on meeting any people here in Fargo because A) I am leaving Fargo in December and B) its WAY too conservative here.

I hope that there are people out there who are willing to chat online and get to know!

I think I will probably post this up in the other section (looking for friends I think its called), so if you see this post twice, thats why :-).

Anywhom, I just wanted to send out a quick 'thanks' to all of you who have welcomed me to the site!

Thanks!

Anthony

P.S. The movie is NOT like the actual city! Its really funny because I am originally from MN (I just go to school in Fargo) and its all we hear when we talk to people from other schools not in the MN/ND area. The movie was actually filmed in Minnesota and nowhere near Fargo! lol Just thought I would clear that up for you all ;-)

And also, kudos to you all who were here and didn't stay long. I am trying to get out of here myself! ha!
