I'm new here and just want to say hello and introduce myself. I'm 18 and from Northern Ireland. I've only recently come out to family and a few close friends but confident enough to let anyone know.

Hey! I'm 19 and from the UK too. South of England. Well done on coming out to the family! I haven't even contemplated doing that... must take some balls!

and @Padworth, I haven't come out to my whole family. Just my mum and sister, haven't even thought about telling my dad yet.
 
Hi and welcome to JUB, congrats on coming out to family members, not an easy step, I relate to not telling your Dad yet I was the same when I came out many years ago he was the last to know. we have our reasons for not telling everyone straight away.
