Hell's Kitchen

He's an excellent Chef as far as Chef is concerned. I don't think he yells like that in real life. I mean, would you?

Yes he may seem like he treats his staffs like shit. But hey, when you're trained under an excellent coach, will your coach tell you what you WANT to hear or tell you what you HAVE to hear? You decide man. This is a Gay website. Pussies, please stand aside.(*8*)

On the plus side, Gordon Ramsey is a very successful Chef in terms of Michelin Stars, franchising his success into different restaurants, cook books, tv shows, etc. His energy is incredible.

He's great at marketing himself with various strategies, including throwing critics out and inflaming publicity worthy fights.

He's also great at focusing on essentials in running a high end restaurants, great ingredients, lack of pretention in the food, etc.

On the negative side, a number of reality shows suggest he is a complete bully and shit to staff, who mess up. He justifies this by claiming that he is a perfectionist, that he's doing it for their own good, that he has a heart of gold....all the usual abuser stuff. And he was similarly abused by his own mentor. His success would be much more impressive without the abuse.

Again from the reality shows I seen, he's a workaholic and totally self-absorbed to the extent of neglecting his young family and even making his best friend's wedding all about Gordon Ramsey.

I also don't like what I see as his dishonesty. In one episode, he took a fee to promote one kind of apple and then revealed that, for whatever reason, he'd actually used another kind. In another episode, he's sweetness and light to one critic to her face and then swears about her behind her back but to the tv camera so she'll feel a fool for being nice to him.

His commercial success is interesting to me, but he really is dismal human being. Nothing new there then.

Except for the occasional episodes, I haven't been watching Hell's Kitchen, but it's hardly surprising that the finalists are two of the best looking contestants. It's all self-inflated showmanship and kinda boring.

I hate reality TV myself but somehow got hooked on this one in the summer of 2005.

Of course, I wanted Julia to win and haven't really been enjoying it since she got voted off two weeks ago.

I agree with a past poster, Rock's gonna take it. He wouldn't be my choice but I certainly can't see Ramsey giving Bonnie, whom he in one show called, a Blonde Barbie, the key to opening the door to her own restaurant this Monday.

Did anyone see last night's show, besides being a total waste of time, the whole challenge was so flippin' fake! So Rock and Bonnie each make a signature dish and stand besides them as 7 judges each picks their favorite. After 6 judges, guess what? it's a tie! The last judge, is actually 2 judges, they sample the food, whisper back and forth and break the tie by voting for Bonnie.

I can't imagine Bonnie winning and running a restaurant. I still think taht Rock will win.

To tell you the truth...I can't imagine either one running a restaurant...Bonnie is too dim-witted. And there is something about Rock that just doesn't mesh well with me. But in terms of the show, I can see Gordon picking Bonnie.

Ha ha - Joshy Joshy...this show is not doing anything for your career. I laugh at him every time...burning, undercooking, etc...and then he says I can cook. Then do it.

Yeah...Bonnie wouldn't been a good leader, I don't think that people under her would have respected her.

Well new season has started. Another bunch of crap chefs. I really wonder where they find these people for most of them don't know how to cook shit. Just once I would like to see chefs of "Top Chef" quality, and see how that goes.
