Help! Was This Guy Interested?

Hi everybody, I've been reading this site for almost a couple of months now and have decided to join today.

Today after I went swimming, I saw another swimmer in the shower stall across from me. I'm not the cruisy type but I could not take my eyes off of him. Usually I just shower and leave as fast as I can but this guy was HOT! I didn't really pay attention to him in the pool because he was in another lane and had goggles on. I think I might've seen him one time before but not without the goggles and everything. So anyways, he caught me looking at his dick and didn't flinch at all. He didn't seemed bothered at all and I'm sure he knew I was looking so I continued to watch.

The shower lasted way longer than my usual shower, maybe 10 minutes. He washed his swim suit, hair and everything. At one point he turned his back to me and washed his ass hole and another one moment he washed his dick in a quick jerk off movement but it only lasted about 5 seconds. He didn't look at me as much but I'm sure he knew I was watching. I usually shower without my swimsuit but couldn't take it off because I was starting to get hard. After we finished showering, he left the locker room before me. After I got out, he was standing there looking at his ipod, I just smiled and walked past him. I posted an ad on the missed connections section of Craigslist but I'm not sure how many people actually check that, I've only used that thing twice.

I just want other opinions, do you think he was interested? Did he just like being admired? Am I just fantasizing for no reason? I'm not really good with guys and this guy was a lot hotter than me so I don't know. I don't want to go up to him and freak him out or anything. Especially if he's not gay.

I wouldn't be so harsh. Swimmer seems like a nice guy with nowhere else to go with this question. Anyway it takes most of us a while to be comfortable to act natural in a locker room. It sounds to me that he is ok with being admired. Beyond that, who knows? Next time you see him smile again and say hi. Rareboy with his 5,000+ posts is obviously far ahead of swimmer writing his first.

I saw him again today and don't think he's interested sadly. When I got there, he was already swimming. The swimming lanes were full so I went into the jacuzzi where I waited a whole long time until I finally got the nerve to walk over and ask if he'd mind sharing a lane. He sounded friendly and said "Sure" and that was that. He continued to swim a few more laps and then went in. There was another lane with only one person right next to him and he was in the farthest lane but I made sure to ask him and not the old man swimming next to him even though it would make more sense for me to ask the old man since me and the old man aren't very fast swimmers but the guy I like swims back and forth like a pro. From now on, I'm going to try not getting my hopes up. It never works out in my favor anyways.

I think I know how you feel; it already feels like a bother to stop someone swimming and trying to strike up a conversation when they're are already into their workout.

But since you have said yourself that you swim slow, why don't you ask him for swimming tips. Like spencer said above " you're a great swimmer; can you offer me some tips to get better or can you look at my technique?"

You are probably right, but there's a chance that he was just done swimming or was on a schedule. He was friendly and shared his lane with you. He obviously wasn't freaked out by you or anything like that. He may have thought you weren't interested in doing anything as you didn't even take your suit off in the shower. You looked at all his goods, but didn't show any in return. While he is probably just an exhibitionist, there is still a small possibility something could happen.

At the pool he may not have known what else to say to you (sound familiar?) or didn't want to make anything obvious when you two were out in the open. Guys who are in the closet have a way of thinking that people somehow "know" if they even socialize with gay guys. Of course the reality is that people would just see two guys talking. As others suggested, I would comment on his swimming and ask him for tips. That would be a good ice breaker. Don't get your hopes up too high, but I think it's worth giving it a little more effort. By the way, I would try to get there a little earlier next time and hopefully you two will finish swimming about the same time. If nothing else, you may get another show in the shower.

As others noted, most guys don't like being cruised in the locker room. Be careful about who you watch in the showers in the future. This guys obviously didn't mind, but most guys would.

Backpacker, I guess you could be right. He was swimming for who knows how long before I got there and I was in the Jacuzzi for probably 20-30 minutes. Since he swims back and forth with barely any resting, he's got to get tired sometime. I'm going to back off for at least 2 weeks or more from making any interactions if I do decide to make any unless he makes a move. I don't want to come off like a stalker. Like I said in my first post, usually I don't watch guys in the shower. If there's a hot guy, I might take a few 1 second glances but usually I mind my own business. This guy was just an exception. I appreciate you guys looking out for me though. Thanks.
