Hey guys, 18 yr old new guy

hey everyone, I'm new to the forum, and am completely in the closet, unfortunately. I'm 18 yrs old and white, and i live in Barbados (that's probably why I'm not out). Just looking forward to talking to some kool people and at least being open here. I'm not too sure whether I'm gay or bisexual. Anyway, anyone interested, let me know.

I know that in the Lesser Antilles, in many places, it's very hard for a guy if he's seen expressing affection for another guy. Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana are especially notorious. And Jamaica is said to be horrors.

But you get to live in Barbados!
But how are things there, according to your experience?

Lol yeh i get to live in barbados Lol i mean barbados is by far the best place to vacation, especially if you have lots of money, but it isn't that good to live, and yeh, the Caribbean, excluding puerto rico, is really homophobic. I'm a major minority being white but that's ok, i guess. Would really love to move away to study, and then live. Not sure what i want to study yet though. But hopefully in a year, two at most. How do you know so much about the Caribbean, not many people do?

in terms of me being gay/bisexual, no one really knows, so it doesn't bother me too much. But barbados isnt too too bad with it, compared to, as u say, jamaica Lol but if your a tourist here, and u stay on the richer west coast, anything pretty much goes there.

I took a course on the geography of the Caribbean so I know some silly facts and figures that probably have little to do with your everyday life. But yeah.

1. Wikipedia, etc.
2. Obsessive curiosity about "over there" and strange/foreign places.
3. I've actually read a few books, Naipaul, Jamaica Kincaid.
4. Random remarks of others, cyber and real.

you don't have to be out to be here. that's not a requirement. you should check out the coming out and relationships forum though. the folks in there are very supportive and you might find it good to talk to them.
