Hello..
I'm BUTTBUSTER, and I"m new here.
Am 69 years old, single, retired from Air Force with a total of 45 years combined active and reserve time.
Have settled in the thumb area of Michigan on a small 20 acre forest farm with 2 acres tillable. I grow 75% of my own food and meat.
Am an avid outdoors guy, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, amd flying. I enjoy woodworking and metal fabricating..photographing the wild and it's flora and funa.
Have even made friends with most of the wild life here. Some will even eat out of my hand.
Finally found time to sit down and type this as it is raining cats and dogs, and has been for 2 weeks now. No snow, its 40+ degrees and the ground is so wet it squishes where you walk. What happened to winter.
Am interested in making friends and buddies with others of similar intrests. Who knows, may even lead to something more intimate.

welcome buttbuster. I think there are a number of guys here who have been in the military. :) I joined the air force when I was 18 and was in for 4 years- but I'm a girl so I guess that's totally different.

It is going to take me some time to het up to speed around here, so BEAR with me. Am just going to stick one toe in the water first to get the temperature..No way do I want to just dive in and make waves. I've been that route
and I get a lot a feed back, not all good.

We are supposed to start getting cooler weather starting tomorrow, Monday..Maybe it will usher in some snow. Hope so. Am sick and tired of not being able to drive in onto the property. Have had to park out in the road for a month now and that's a quarter of a mile. I live out in the middle of the woods and do not have a solid drive.

That all depends on your definition of MATURE.. I me be 69, but no way in heck do I act it, believe it, or live it. I can still give a lot of younger guys a run for their money. I hope I can assume that not all guys on line or under 30...would be a bummer..

First, I thought the picture next to your posting was you, not just a generic avitar.
Second, how does being female make a difference, in or out of the AF? I knew some pretty damn good women in the service, both enlisted and officers..A couple of them could fly circles around me, but then I was flying B-47's and B-52's. A female major was one of my closest friends.

I just was thinking that as a straight girl in the military (many moons ago) I never had to worry about 'don't ask don't tell' or anything like that. It was a good experience definitely. So you were in for 20?
