Can I do difficult? I should be able to, problem is... I don't want to. Most people feel this way. Life should be easy!!!!! that's the lie we have heard our entire lives. We live in a soldout suburbia, a life where everyone is searching for the "easy". Truth is "easy" is a lie. Always living for the easy is robbing us of our ability to deal with the difficulties that come with life. To succeed in life, school, marriage, raising children you have to be able to "do difficult".
To put this in "Suburban" terms.... Think about Nutri-System, Don Shulas wife comes on and says "I lost 23 pounds it was easy" Sadly this is not so, the real easy is what it took to get you to the place where you need to diet.
People buy into the suburban mindset and then wake up one day just hoping someone else can "re-zeal" them. The act of re-zealing isn't impossible, but only an individual can do it for themselves.
Life is going to be hard and I know this will sound like a shocker, but life is also not fair. If we sell out to Suburbia then we will never learn to deal with the obstacles put in front of us. Trust me, everyone has the ability to deal. It's just a question of whether you're going to be a "My life should be easy" person, or become an "I can do difficult" person.
Wake up people, own your responsibility!!!
