Whats the deal with horoscopes. Do you guys believe that they can sway a relationship?

I'm Pisces and my bf's Aries and we are getting on great, is there anything i should be lookin to the stars for? lol

I'm not big believer in horoscopes because they tend to generalize everything. Each sun sign has it's own characteristics but I have yet to find them to be very reliable and more coincidental. However, according to "the stars" Pisces & Aries are fairly compatible and you can learn a lot from each other. Pisces can show Aries what caring is really all about and Aries can show Pisces how to make dreams happen rather than just thinking about them. Because you're a water sign and Aries is a fire sign, you can supposedly disagree on a lot of things but your power is being a team. Together you can do some really great things. "The stars" have spoken!

I always used to wish stuff like that was true even though i kind of assumed it wasnt, but then last month me and two friends went through a situation, all of us different star signs, and our horoscopes got each one of our view points perfectly in relation to what was going on. that was kinda weird...
plus im a scorpio and i seem to have all the typical qualities of a scorpio

I have had some expirence with astrology and I cant help but feel there is some underlying truth to the whole thing. I have recently begun reading my horoscope daily in the paper.

Every believer in astrology I have met has said I'm the perfect example of a Capricorn...once I tell them I'm a Capricorn. If they have to guess, though, suddenly I'm not such a perfect fit.

I don't like the idea of being resigned to any sort of fate due to anything, let alone the date/time I was born and where the planets happened to be sitting. I refuse to have boundaries place on me for being white, male, gay, tall, fat or anything else, so I'm sure as hell not going to be tied to being a friggin' water goat.

You kind of answered your own question when you titled your thread.......;)

Hororscopes

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

LOL!

I don't believe in them at all. It's just not good science, and all the "traits" of a "sign" are so broad as to fit almost anyone at one time or another (especially flattering ones that people love to see in themselves, whether it's really true or not).

Sorry. Knowing someone's "sign" tells me nothing and I don't even bother. In fact, I don't even know my partner of 12 years' "sign" although I do know his birth date. Knowing his sign would tell me nothing about him that I don't already know, now would it?

i am obssessed with it.
scorpio guys is so attractive to me
but i really don't want a scorpio coz i am one already.

Hmm as fun as they are to pass the time and yeah sometimes coincidental.... I wouldn't place any true weight on them.

Agree with Lex.. once you tell them what you are.. they can fit you in perfectly.

Well my money spent on my college psychology class seems not worth it at this moment being that I can't recall the name of this "syndrome" or phenomenon... its the one where you give people a broad description that most people would agree to... our professer handed out our "personality results" and had us raise our hands if it "matched us well" "didnt match" or "somewhat matched"

yeah.. they were all the same and we all answered "matched us well"

I read yesterday's horoscope. It's more fun that way.

From my own experience, the western horoscopes don't work. For me, the Chinese horoscopes have been far more accurate. Overall, I think it's all about how you interpret the 'predictions', because many things can relate to a certain statement.
