They're both cheesy.

I'm a horror fan of movies if I like it its good. Some of the horror movies aren't that good but the ones that are good scare me good

the scary movies are the ones which look realistic,
like documentaries of serial killers LOL

I can honestly say I've been a horror fan since I was a kid. My dad tried to scare me out of going trick or treating when I was nine by making me watch Halloween. All it did was make me want to go as Michael Myers. So I love watching horror movies.

With that said thrillers tend to actually be a lot more scary to me. I can't remember the last horror movie that was even remotely scary, but some thrillers have left me unable to sleep because they were so realistic and visceral.

I don’t know. I am sure there is enough of both in each genre. I love both Horror and a good Thriller. Scary isn’t really what I look for in either anymore because it is pretty subjective, what is scary to me isn’t going to be scary for other people.

Like, not anymore but Chucky used to scare the shit out of me as a kid. I doubt a lot of people find him scary or did. Lol.

I couldn't sleep in a room with dolls for nearly twenty years because of those movies. My sister is a heartless, soulless piece of garbage who forced me to watch them as a small child and then found ways to scare me using that trauma any chance she got. Now, however, I actually really like the original movies, lol. Then again I'm partial to slasher flicks, so Halloween, Friday the 13, Nightmare in Elm Street, and Child's Play hold a special place in my heart!

Yeah, my dad used to do some shit with Chucky to scare me as a kid. Now I like them and they have become a bit more Queer oriented as well, not perfect, but it's fun to have a horror series that is made by someone who is Queer and generally are good nonsense fun.

Personally, I like all kinds of horror. Anything from Slashers to Psychological, Creature features, etc. It's just a genre that is a lot of fun and really creative in many different ways.

Recent favorite is 100% Black Christmas (2019), this movie got a lot of undeserved hate and unfortunately watching it, you'll understand why. As a pg13 horror, though, it's pretty damn good and I love the context of the film. Holds no bars in what it was trying to say.

@ClubLevelVegan, have you seen the trailer for Black as Night on Hulu? I saw it a couple days ago and it seemed intriguing. It's a vampire horror with a predominantly black cast.

Yes, this is definitely on my watch this season.

Vampire vs. the Bronx is a good one too.

Vampires vs. the Bronx

A group of young friends from the Bronx fight to save their neighborhood from gentrification...and vampires.

Ooh, I've never heard of that one! That sounds like it could be very good as well!

Psychological Movies are the scariest.
Try and watch Imprint or Jacob's Ladder (not the remake) and tell me what you all think!

Personally i prefer horror. I understand most are not actually scary and are abit hammy. Older films are best, the old quality cameras and poor lighting add to the horror if that makes sence. Off the top of my head the original black christmas from the 70s is a perfect example

I just watch Annabelle last night.

Download from torrent. Horror movies from the 60s and 70s are my favorite and I’ve found so many from here!

HBO Max has a good selection as well.
