When I say Mainstream I mean that he's doing catalogues, runway modeling and underwear boxes (last time I heard, anyway... I haven't had a chance to chat with him in a month or so).

LOTS of adult models have gone on to do work for mainstream modeling agents. Contrary to what you might think, porn doesn't end your professional life.

kim or paris will never get high end designer deals. not only that its different if you are a guy
especially if its porn catered towards gay men

its also completely differerent for models

i could see if he was modeling for a website n2 underwear or whatever but i dont think high end designers will appreciate a porn past.

but when hes clean shaven he looks like ur average white boy

Our model Jared was recently on one of those MTV dating reality shows with the cast off of Flava Flav. I saw Rusty Joiner recently on an episode of Bones. He also does a lot of fitness modeling.

Simon Rex's career certainly didn't suffer, either. He's been an MTV VJ, acted in lots of TV shows and movies. Honestly, I think big-name designers would LOVE to have a hunk like him with a body like that. Besides... from what I hear he's doing pretty well.

i dont think that going on a show like Next or Parental Control means you are a succesful mainstream model especially since shows like that are accessible to pretty much anyone all u have to do is apply on mtv.com

ANYONE can get on parental control or next. u dont have to use porn as a stepping stone. i know like a handful of people from my school alone who have done that dating show next. lol

thats hardly an indication that ur a success. if anything its the opposite. no real celebrity will do those kinds of shows

im not saying porn ends your ability to do anything in the entertainment career but for a guy (esp a guy whose done porn catered to gay men) it certainly prrevents you from really becoming mainstream (esp if you are trying to model) because designers/companies dont want that extra baggage /association with the model because it carries over to the brand

Ricky is doing very well for himself.. it almost sounds like you don't want him to be successful in anything but porn.
