When my alarm goes off, my dog leaps to my face to lick me in the mouth? It usually only happens when I wake up or my alarm goes off, it's like the sound signals to him that it's time to lick... What's the deal? lol​
 
Pavlov. Classical Conditioning. Your dog ass associated your alarm with you waking up. And, when you wake up, it's kissy-kissy time for him.

Of course, you can always re-condition him to bring you the newspaper when the alarm goes of, but then you'd have to go to school and study psychology for the next three years.

I'd stick with the kisses if I were you. It's easier to wipe doggy slobber off your face than it is to get that printer's ink off your hands.
 
Sounds like it might be the Pavlov's dog at play?
Do you feed him or let him outside soon after waking up?
If you do he is now conditioned.
It's the old stimulus/reflex!..|
 
my alarm goes off and the puppy jumps on the bed and sticks her face in my face. my other dog goes right to the bedroom door and waits to be let out.
 
My dog used 2 do something like that
when my alarm went off it was a sign for him to jump on my bed and bark till i got up

One time i forgot to turn alarm off 4 my sunday lie up
wasnt happy wen i was awoken by the alarm AND my dog at 6 15 on a sunday:(
