I have been trying to delete ALL of my Firefox (FF) browser history and start anew, however I just can not seem to totally delete my browsing history (via FF “tools”+ “options” + “privacy”), because when I go to type in a new url, often it starts to show similar urls that I used before or mistyped before (in error) or it is showing old urls that I do not currently want to go to (via the drop down url options). Yet I feel if I can start anew, I would rather have urls options pop-up/drop down. Yet for some reason, I can not seem to totally delete my FF browser history.

Now I have everything checked-off except “automatically start firefox in a private browsing history” and “remember download history”.

In the “Location Bar” section, it gives the following options: History and Bookmarks, History, Bookmarks, nothing. I have mine set in the “nothing” option, to avoid getting all of those url variations that I do not want to see or use, since I can not totally delete this history.

Lastly, my auto fill is no longer working now that I made these changes. It seems once I logoff, then I have to re-enter my information in select boxes again. Then as long as I stay logged on, then I can go back to a site and it will do the auto fill and also give variation options to do the auto fill (via a drop down list, underneath the box I'm trying to populate). How do I turn the FF auto fill feature back on and not have this information deleted each time I logoff . . . would this be a part of the “download history”?

Yet again, if I can somehow just delete ALL of my browser history (not including any of my bookmarked website addresses/urls), then I can start anew the way I want, that would be AWESOME! Any suggestions?

Click on the Firefox menu at the top left of the window (depending on the version of Firefox you are using).

Move the mouse over to History and a sub-menu should appear. Click on "Clear Recent History" and a prompt will show up. Select the items you want cleared, if not already selected, and click "Clear Now."

Hope this helps.

Thank you both very much, XRemyx and M10000. I greatly appreciate your suggestions and help. ..| I will try out your suggestions, and I will report back if this does not do the trick.

Thank you very, very much you two. :=D: (*8*) (*8*)

Wilson,
How did you add the graphics to your post because it was text originally and you only have 20 minutes to edit a post

That was added some time after the fact right?

I like it. Regular text can get boring

M10000, LOL!!! Thank you for noticing those unusual graphics in my post. #-o I have no idea how that happened. As I noticed the same thing that had happened with another post that I made on Saturday, and on this thread that I created as well. I’m guessing that it is an anomaly. One thing I noticed, it “only” appeared in my 1st/original post . . . and never in any of the subsequent posts I made later in the same thread. Thus far, that other thread I started on Saturday, the unusual graphics are gone, and my original text is showing as I typed it once again. Yet one thing I also noticed, I have never seen anything like that in anyone else's posts on JUB.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention ..|, because until I read your post, I thought something freaky was going on with my computer. LOL!!! Yet at the time that I'm making "this post", those unusual graphics are no longer present in my original post.

Oh, it might have been an April Fool's joke
