To be honest, I'm not really sure a bubble exists. I'm pretty out there all the time. And yes, a psychotherapist is something I've done for years.
Sounds like you're in a rut and seeking meaning in your life, an enriching, fulfilling life, a life of purpose.
An all too familiar concept comes to mind...sometimes the most popular people with an endless supply of friends and a busy social life can be the loneliest.
You can still live in your own little mental bubble even though you may still be putting yourself out there and dating people, hanging out with friends etc. But yet you still feel alone, you feel life is pointless and meaningless.... Just doesn't seem like you have anything you enjoy in life that gives you a purpose.
In order for any therapy to work, you have to want to make it work, you have to engage your therapist and work with them to face whatever it is you don't want to face that is blocking you from being who you want to be and living the kind of fulfilling life you desire.
People live in their little bubbles because it is their safe place to deal with everyday life.
One thing that sticks out to me is in all the posts, threads etc. I've read of yours, it seems you like to keep yourself bottled up, detached. Even with all the people in your life both IRL and online, you seem to not truly connect with people on a genuine deep or emotional level.
So what are you afraid of?
