Basically i have just started dating this amazing guy, we have only been on a couple of dates but i really like him and he really likes me. My problem is that i usually sleep with people way to soon. How many dates do u think is acceptable untill you sleep with someone you like

depends on you .. depends on the guy - depends on you both.

do what feels right for you :) don't push it if you think it might be too early. don't hesitate if you want it.
but keep your goal in mind. do you want to have sex with the guy, or do you want more?

Maybe it's just me, but I've never understood the "waiting" thing when it comes to having sex. Back when I was dating, if it didn't feel right, I didn't do it. If it did feel right, I never held back to "wait." In fact, in every scenario that turned into a relationship, I had sex on the first date. My first instincts were right, and it worked.

So, go with your feelings and don't hold back or "wait" when you don't want to. That leads to frustrations.

Talk to him about it. Say you're interesting it making things physical, but don't want to pressure him into it if he's not ready for it.

But bring condoms. Chances are you'll be fucking like rabbits before the night's over. :)

Communication is the key. That means...don't get upset when he's not putting out on the third date. If you haven't talked about it, it won't happen.

see thats the thing, the first date went great, and we made out which was good. so we both want to have sex, but when i go out with guys i deliberately wait for as long as i can to have sex with a guy. I am always worried the sooner u have sex with a guy, the relationship will not last long. silly i know. But i really want to have a long term relationship, and i feel if i sleep with the guy to soon that it wont turn into one

There's really no need to wait any specific amount of time, in my opinion. I think that if both you and him are totally up for it, you should go ahead. If you don't wanna ask him up front (that might be coming on a bit strong for some) you could just engage in some physical touching (touch his shoulders, thighs or wherever and linger a while) and see if he returns it and get more intimate step-by-step.

I used to try to be "modern" and "equal" with my wife. But that doesn't work, for me. Control is what gives a sexual relationship spice, IMHO.
