It's different for everybody. Many folks leap in on the first date (some don't even wait for the first date). Others would rather let the relationship grow somewhat.

If you'd like to nudge it further along, ask if you can. "You've said you want to hold off on having sex for now, and that's totally cool with me. But I'd love to at least make out with you some. Would you be cool with that?"

Maybe its his first time? You didn't really say if he has had any experience with a guy before.

It sounds like he is interested, but he wants to take his time, don't stress or force the issue too much, just make it known you hope that's where its going, but you're okay waiting for him (if you are)

Besides, the longer you wait the more special it becomes, it'll be worth the wait.

Of course if your horny you could always just pounce on him, but it sounds like you might scare him off.

So...I'm not a dating expert, but it sounds like the "ball is in your court." If you want to move forward with this relationship clearly it's ok to put some moves on him during the 5th date.....if you want to. The choice is yours. So...have some fun!

Depends on the guy. Most guys I meet we don't have sufficient chemistry to warrant a second date let alone getting to the "fooling around" bit

And guys that I 'hookup' with never lead to anything more than sex. It's a bit of a "too much of one and noth enough of the other" scenario

If he in fact is holding back like you said he is, then perhaps you should aprecciate it. I mean not all guys want to fuck someone they really really like.

I know that when i feel like im in love with someone (which for the most part has only been one guy..read my post lol) and i know when i first realised I loved him i couldnt even jack off to him because i held him in such a high regard.

Perhaps the real question is do you really like him? From the beginning you should've let it be known that you just wanted to bone.

It sounds like both of you may be waiting for the other to make all the moves. If you want it, go get it. The P in PDA mean public, so if you or he are concerned about that, make your moves when you're out of the public eye. If you are too forward with him and he's so offended that he no longer wants to date you, I'd say you can be pretty sure it wasn't meant to be. If he likes you, he'll glad go along or tell you things are moving too fast but that he still wants to date you.

If you wait too long, the relationship can easily transform into a platonic friendship.
