Very curious about this. I see my friends have like 10,000 unread messages is this normal? :ROFLMAO:

Most of the time I have no unread messages but then again I am running a business so it is a little different.

None - I erase all of them.

I will answer messages from friends on FB - that's about it.

My email boxes are a nightmare - hundreds of ads and con artist scams. I erase the whole folder after scanning them for something important every week.

I'm too vigilant. Almost nothing is unread. But a lot goes to the spam folder which gets deleted quickly.

None
I hate, with a passion, having an email waiting to be dealt with
It plays on mind until I either action it or delete it

None. On anything I get messages, I answer ASAP. Email, texting, phone, IM, etc.

After all those who say they have "zero" messages, I'm ashamed to admit I have plenty of unread messages... Although they are all mass mailing messages of some sort.

I reliably read messages from *people* I know and some commercial interests. But with other stuff I may just read the subject line in the inbox, decide I'm not interested *now*--but I won't delete, because I might want to read whole e-mail. Sometimes I do come back. Sometimes I don't.

I'm half contemplating moving to a privacy respecting e-mail account (e.g., ProtonMail). Part of this that I'm tired of the thought that the regular players are using my account to help shove advertising down my throat. But there is another advantage: moving would give less storage space, and force me to keep my in-box cleaned up.

At this time I get about 140 emails a day and delete about 120 without opening them just by skimming who the sender was. I open and read the other 20 and delete most but end up saving about 4 a day so my inbox slowly builds up with read emails. I could have 400 that I am unlikely to go back to.

48,334. I thought it was more. At one time I had about 60,000.

I have 4 email accounts, 1 of which I almost never use. There are a few email accounts that I've abandoned, so I'm not including those and have no idea how many have piled up. These are current totals right now...I did delete some earlier today.

1 in my business gmail account
39 in my hotmail account (I delete daily in this one, plus there are too many to count in a separate "junk" folder of this account that I rarely go into)
0 in a yahoo account
186 in a rarely used yahoo account ((which I go into monthly to just delete)

I have 2 active email accounts. Besides my main account I have a porn account that gets email notifications from JUB (which has like 46 unread notifications from the last 2 or 3 days). On my main account I have 109 unread and all of those are from the beginning of this month. I do scan my new emails every day for anything important. My email provider does a good job of catching spam even before it gets to my account. I only see and spam email about once a week.
